The service works, it's quite flexible, and it can help on relatively short notice. All the people we've hired are polite and respectful.
It loses one point because in our experience the cleaners really try their best to run the clock and go as slow as possible, so you need to book something longer than you expect.

Communication

I would not recommend using Helpling. I tried the platform a few years ago and revisited it in 2026, and unfortunately, the issues persist. Firstly, while you can theoretically choose the cleaner, the reality is that the cleaners you select are often unavailable. After some time, you receive an email from Helpling stating that “some other cleaners are immediately available.” Then, there are the last-minute cancellations. Back when I used Helpling, I would estimate that 50% of the bookings were canceled at the very last minute. I joined Helpling again in 2026, and surprise, another last-minute cancellation occurred just two hours before the appointment. As a client, if I cancel a booking last minute, I am charged the full session or booking fee, but the providers are not penalized. I believe they should address this issue to improve reliability. Additionally, I have noticed that the cleaners who are available are not very dependable. Considering these factors, I will no longer use Helpling and will opt for an agency instead. While it may be slightly more expensive, it is undoubtedly more reliable.

Used it twice. Payment is easy and communication with the booked provider as well. Good overwiew over all available providers and their prices.

This platform is really good for earning money without any stress.

The app and booking process is completely user friendly. The transparent reviews of the cleaning lady, the work ethics of the lady is very professional. The lady came on time and left once all work assigned was completed. Highly recommended!

I just had my apartment “deep cleaned” and now that the cleaner has left I’ve checked the toilet and it is filthy with hair and dirt under the lid and stains still inside the toilet. The cleaner is one of the most expensive and has good reviews so I trusted it would be a good experience, but I cannot believe it as many things were not done or done to the bare minimum standard (aka probably as fast as possible). The toilet is the absolute deal breaker for me. I have taken many photos and will be reporting this. There must be fake reviews on this website.

I hired cleaners from Helpling before and they did a great job.

Then I hired another cleaner from them on 16 of March. Cleaner broke my shower curtain which normally I wouldn't mind. But on top of it, did a horrible bad job. He was very slow and did not do 50% of the things other cleaners would do. He was careless with my stuff, dropped my gaming controllers. The cleaner asked for more money to complete the task he should have completed, as a compensation for my broken shower curtain to settle this between us. Obviously I didn't accept. He didn't put anything back, he left my chairs moved around and cleaning clothes everywhere unorganized.

I contacted to Helpling team right after he left, provided picture evidence. They said unfortunately cleaner does not accept a refund. I talked to another agent with pictures. They said they will take action. I provided the receipt for the replaced shower curtain I bought. But for more than 2 weeks they did nothing.

I initially did not ask for a refund, I asked one of the previous cleaners to come and clean my apartment as a compenstation. But they didn't accept that. So I hired another cleaner myself to get the job done.

Obviously Helpling is only good if you encounter a good cleaner. If you get a bad one, nobody supports you. What's the point of using this platform then?

Oladapo did an amazing job cleaning my home! everything was spotless, fresh, and well-organized. He arrived right on time and worked very efficiently while still paying great attention to detail. The bathroom and kitchen were especially impressive, and the floors were perfectly cleaned.

He was professional, friendly, and made sure everything met my expectations. I also appreciated how careful he was with my space and belongings.

I’ll definitely look forward to his next service. Highly recommended!
