Horrible experience with this company
Horrible experience with this company. I was previously a longtime customer but their customer service is the worst in the business. The manager Karen is atrocious. These people should not be in business.

Purchased 3 bundles of strawberry crowns in April 2026. When they arrived April 30th they were smelly, and border line dead. I wrote the same day to Grow Organics and told them I was concerned about the order. I went and planted them the same day in hopes of waking up as many as I could. I even planted them in 2 different locations to be sure I tried different options I could monitor. Karen @ Grow Organics wrote back the next day and told me I should have taken pictures of the root stock. Not something I thought about while I was rushing to plant 75 plants to ensure maybe dead was not dead. Over the past 3 1/2 weeks not 1 has come to life. Dead. I have been gardening for 40 years, and have approx. 150 healthy berry plants. I should have known better than to even bother to plant them but I thought I could revive a portion. Have now been run around and told to count the dead ones, pull up the plants and take pictures of the roots. I have decided I don't want a refund, I just will never order from Grow Organics again and do a review so others are careful if they order.
I ordered purple potatoes in mid April. After not receiving an approximate delivery date I did reach out to the company. I was told orders are being filled in the order they are received. I again waited to receive a shipment email. On May 5th a received an email my order was canceled. " I have canceled and refunded your order of purple potatoes. We are out of stock and found the heat really deteriorated our inventory this season faster than we expected". Based on this response I would believe they were aware of this at or near my time of order. I am still waiting on a refund.
I ordered strawberry plants, and grapes. In addition also red and black currant.
the strawberry plans arrived in a poor condition. however I planted them. out of 25 plants only 5 showed live, the remaining were stayed dead. the other 25 plants were a little bit better, out of 25, 5 stayed dead. The grapes I planted in a drum with automatic drip and protect the plants from the frost. after several weeks, still no buds showing and the scratch test revealed dead sticks.. The only good plants were the red and black currant. Good roots. The blue berry plants are low quality but are still alive. All are on the drip, so they get water daily. I have good soil and good drainage. I ordered strawberry plants from a different company last week and what a difference in quality. I contacted the company grow organic, and they give me a hard time and the run a round. I would not trust them again to provide plants.
I purchased a fruit tree that had crown gall. When I contacted customer service, I was told that they only guarantee that the tree will leaf out. My orchard also has bareroot trees from Stark Bros that have done extremely well over the years. I'm not a novice. This year I purchased two 25 plant bundles of strawberries. One bundle had 18 plants. At least 20% of the crowns were not viable.
THEY STILL DIDN'T SEND ME A ONE STEM PECAN TREE.
I ordered a 1 stem pecan tree many years ago and I'm still waiting for them to send it. They sent me a 2 stem when I made it very clear on the order I want a one stem. I even called them and told them over the phone. But, they completely ignored me and never sent me the order I paid for.
They just emailed me 8-12-2025 saying my order was fulfilled 10 years ago. But, they didn't send the one stem tree I specifically said to deliver. What a bunch of weirdos. They must be illiterate or blind or willfully and intentionally ignored my specific request. Either way, don't expect them creeps to send what you ordered.
Here's what she said...
" this order was in 2014. Our records state it was fulfilled and we are under new ownership. If there was an issue 10 years ago, I'm hoping you addressed it with the owners at that time. We wish you the best. Take good care.
Happy Growing!

They still believe they didn't do my order wrong. I specifically said " One Stem ". But, they sent a 2 stem. What a bunch of creeps.
I received notification that a seed item was again available. When i went into the website to buy it, there were only pounds listed, and I wanted a sack. I e-mailed them, they immediately replied with a custom invoice, it was easy to order, they delivered the sack of seeds within a week, quality was superb.
I mail ordered a Dwarf Honey Crisp apple tree in the spring of 2023. That tree is in excellent condition and is full of apples. I have never mail ordered a fruit tree. Grow organic/Peaceful Valley have given high quality products and great service! I have a photo to verify.
I got $500 worth of bare root fruit trees from them and was given erroneous information by an employee about a ship date. My trees arrived when there was still snow on the ground (despite being told they would ship at a later date) so I was forced to pot all of the trees inside. Only three trees ever broke dormancy and only one actually survived to the next season. I planted them perfectly in large holes with fertile soil and had everything on a drip system to make sure they were properly watered. One tree out of 10 is unacceptable but their customer service is atrocious and wouldn’t help me at all.
This company does not want to improve. Hit or miss on quality of plants. Does not want to honor return policy. Ignores forms filled online to request replacement
$255.42 on diseased potatoes! While I could write a 500-word essay on this experience, I'll try to keep it short. The potatoes appeared fine on arrival. After the 3-day "guarantee" window, EVERY SINGLE purple potato developed obvious white fungal disease.
To add insult to injury, once they atttempted to gaslight me unsuccessfully, they requested photos, which I submitted. Then they requested a photo with all of the purple potatoes, plus weighing them. This is WORK.
Finally, they told me too bad, you're screwed, we don't care because it was outside of the 3-day window.
Absolutely deplorable. They're selling diseased purple potatoes! But too bad. So sad.
I've purchased over a dozen bare root trees and over 100 seed packets over the years and everything is always great quality. The bare root trees are almost always perfect, large caliper, tall trunk, healthy roots and grow quickly and easily. I had 1 jujube tree that was cracked halfway through the trunk, they refunded me the entire price (many other nurseries don't take responsibility and would just tell me it should heal or it'll regrow from the bottom). I used to live in California, now I'm in Georgia but I still buy from GrowOrganic.
I ordered five trees December 2022. I received them on May 2023. One was dead on arrival. Another never leafed out. Another leafed out and then surprisingly died within three weeks afterward. Three trees bloomed immediately (including the one that died three weeks later.) I picked off the blossoms at the recommendation of Peaceful Valley/Grow Organic. As of 3/27/2023, the peach tree (one of the remaining two that survived the summer) had died at some point over the winter. The plumcot tree is doing very well.
I was given credit for the tree that was DOA and the one that never leafed out after waiting until the end of May as required by PV/GO.
I was cheated approximately $10 on credit but oh well. I ordered enough trees to avoid paying about $50 shipping which meant that I had to order a total of 5 trees to claim the full credit I received (and was shorted approx. $10.).
But, none of that is really the problem.
The problem is customer service.
There isn't any.
No one picks up the phone. No one calls you back. No one returns a personalized email. All I ever got was a one size fits no-one email in response to my question. Here is it March 27th 2023 and I have still NEVER spoke to a human.
The icing on the cake is that I am in zone 6 and these geniuses sent my five BARE ROOT trees ($200 worth) during the coldest month in my USDA zone. Ground completely frozen on January 30th, 2023! I emailed them multiple times asking for advice on how to keep five bare root trees alive until my ground thawed. No response. Not once. They avoid responsibility like a wayward child.
Go somewhere else to buy nursery stock. These guys do not offer anything that you cant get from someone else. Or, spin the wheel and see if you get lucky.
Terrible customer service. No communication skills. No professionalism. I tried to orders some things. They took my money but nothing else every happened. (no tracking number ever sent). I asked three weeks later and got a response that the would check. The following week I sent another email asking and got a refund "Per my request". I didn't request a refund...I wanted the stuff I ordered. Why are you even in business?
Ordered in stock on the shelf items for retail location pick up as I'm a distance away but pass through often enough to do a pick up. I was never informed products were available for pick up, no emails, no phone or text calls, nothing, I had to reachout and be told oh there here and have been ready to ship to you, not what I ordered or requested, nor did anyone inform me.of this.
They keep blaming Covid as it seems to be their best excuse for anything they deem to blame their faults on. I am still fighting for a refund on my order that they state was refunded days ago but has not been issued back to me.
Avoid this business , thy only cater to the snobs in the region and are way too pricey , customer service is null and void , and not worth it at any price or otherwise.
I bought my trees on 1/4/21. It’s April 5th now and I still haven’t received them. Emailed Grow Organic several times about the status and they promised me they’ll ship out my trees. Even promised to talk to the boss and get my shipping expedited. This was a lie. They finally told me they doing have the trees and blamed it on the grower. Only took them three months to tell me this.
I tried to write a review on their website but it's not going through. I guess they don't like the truth.
I was disappointed in the quality if the plant root systems. The grapevine roots were aggressively trimmed where as the top of the plants were inadequately trimmed in comparison to the roots. Customer service was excellent. Shipping was prompt.
