Coming back for another review!
Coming back to provide another review, after my original review back in 1/2025. Gasco had posted a few videos about learning how to import and flip your own cars. After having a good experience the first go around, and having money saved up, I figured I'd give it a shot. I was originally looking for a R34. Gasco sent me no less than 15 different ones, but I was being extremely picky. He threw out a few S2000's and I ended up liking one of them. Ended up winning the car. While awaiting shipping, I asked Gasco to keep sending R34's. Ultimately found one that I really liked and won that one as well. So yes, I ended up buying 2 cars through Gasco back to back.
Side note: I wanted to find cars to flip that I really liked, because I figured if I only imported cosmetically and mechanically sound cars, it would make the flip and negotiating process a lot easier and people would be less likely to try and nickel and dime.
Fast forward, the Skyline sold almost immediately (within 48 hours). I knew it would because the car was extremely sound. The s2000 took a little bit longer but the demographic that car (and price point) attracted was ones who were not looking to pay cash, and needed to finance. A lot of window shoppers and folks that couldn't get approved came any went. Ultimately the cars sold, I was wired my money within 48 hours and the whole process honestly could not have been easier.
I am paying off some debts with my profit and will be looking to use Gasco again to flip another Skyline hopefully by the end of the year.
Easy for me to say, but if you're on the fence, jump. Gasco is CA based, upfront and honest and never made me feel pressured to buy some car I didn't want to buy. Being local was a bonus, but the people that bought both of my flips lived in AZ and had zero issues coming to see the cars (although the Skyline was bought sight unseen).
