Wimbledon showroom
Every time I visit the showroom in Wimbledon, I’m given plenty of time to ask questions, compare colours, and see how they look under different lighting conditions. All of this without any judgment. The customer service makes the trip to the showroom well worth it, rather than simply browsing online. It gives me confidence in the choice made.

Great in shop assistance, and problem solving
I thought the service in the shop was great. Lovely assistant who was very helpful and gave good advice. I had a problem with the sending of a sample sheet. It was such a small issue, I did not want to spend time sorting it out, but when I flagged the issue view this system, they responded very quickly and Sue the person I spoke to in customer relations was fantastic and went above and beyond to sort my query to my complete satisfaction. Thank you very much to the whole team.

Delivery was not as fast as claimed on the website both times I ordered but still arrived in a reasonable time frame. Paint colours are an exact match to the sample card. Goes on the walls great.

Flawless finish and incredible pigment

Great website. There are marvellous tools on the website to allow you to see the paint you have chosen in a room setting. There is also a handy calculator which works out how much paint is needed for your room. The paint is nice to apply. Large choice of colours and finishes. Fast delivery &well packaged products.

Not easy to test colours with limited availability
Not easy to test colours. Half the ones I wanted weren’t available, the ones that were, were a mixture of paint and just pieces of card so hard to attach to the walls easily (yes I could get blue tack but other brands just keep it simpler).

For best results with our sample pots, which contain our signature Estate Emulsion, we suggest painting them out onto a piece of card or paper, this way, you can fix in one place and then move around the room to ensure the colour looks perfect throughout. The pre-painted swatches are a mess and fuss free way to see the colours, especially the Archive Collection, which as this is made to order, sadly is not available in sample pots.

You sent the wrong paint
You sent the wrong paint, later than planned and then could not provide the correct paint until four days later by which time I had to find an alternative so my job was not held up.

Bought exterior eggshell
Bought two and a half litres of exterior eggshell for our church window frames (wood). The on line price from F & B was slightly lower than anything I could find locally, and the paint was delivered within 2 days in good packaging. Good quality paint as always.

Just want a tin of Mouse’s Back
Just want a tin of Mouse’s Back. B&Q says it’s discontinued. So I ring F&B Harrogate and they say it’s not true. And I can’t be bothered driving to Harrogate I can go to Brewer’s in Leeds where they’ve got a machine that can mix it. So I’m sitting outside Brewer’s who’ve just told me they don’t mix it on site because they couldn’t fit the machine on site.

This may be a dealer issue. My painter really wanted me to use F & B paint because of the quality, especially the primer. I bought the paint and primer as requested, but unfortunately had to leave town for the actual painting of my bedroom. Per my painter, the primer was spoiled, the consistency of Greek yogurt and not tinted the proper color even though I had told the shop I was using the color, Yonder, in both flat and modern eggshell. They mixed the color for me. I was also using the color of Parma Gray in estate emulsion as a background color to put under wallpaper. The painter ended up using the Parma Gray emulsion as a primer. He returned the spoiled primer. It turned into a much more difficult job for him because he did not have the proper primer. Many cross-country phone calls to me later, he made it work, but for all the trouble I could’ve just used Benjamin Moore.BM also samples all of their colors which I was not able to do with Yonder, an archive color. Overall, a “meh”experience at three times the price of a quality Benjamin Moore paint. And I’m out the price of a gallon of very expensive primer. Dealer is Catalina Paints in Studio City, CA.
I use this store for a lot of paint, all Benjamin Moore, with no problems. I like them and their service has always been great.
And FYI, paint and primer was purchased one week before the job and stored inside the house climate controlled, not in a hot garage.
UPDATE: Catalina Paints did make good on the price of the primer towards another can of paint, per my painter.
