FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
California Consumer Calls for Accountability After Alleged Misrepresentations in 2021 Tesla Model X Purchase; Says Exeter Finance Failed to Help Resolve Dispute
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA — September 5, 2026 — A California consumer is speaking publicly about what he describes as a deeply troubling vehicle-purchase and financing experience involving a 2021 Tesla Model X, BP Ford of Long Beach, dealership representatives Shant Mgerian and Alireza Ajori, and financing company Exeter Finance.

The consumer says his primary concern is no longer simply the condition of the vehicle. He says he is especially frustrated by what he describes as Exeter Finance's failure to meaningfully assist him after he reported the problems with the vehicle and the circumstances surrounding the sale.

According to the consumer, he entered into the transaction after receiving assurances from Shant Mgerian and Alireza Ajori regarding the vehicle's condition and promised repairs. He alleges that he was specifically assured that the vehicle's air-conditioning compressor would be repaired.
Instead, the consumer says he was left with a vehicle with a broken AC system and other serious problems, despite having relied on the representations made during the sales and financing process.

Consumer Says Exeter Finance Failed to Help
After discovering that the problems were not being resolved, the consumer says he contacted Exeter Finance and explained the situation, including his allegations concerning the dealership, the representations made to him, the condition of the vehicle, and the promised repairs.
The consumer says he expected the financing company to take his complaint seriously and help investigate what had happened.

Instead, he alleges that Exeter Finance did not provide meaningful assistance and repeatedly directed him back toward the dealership.
“I contacted Exeter Finance and explained everything. I told them what happened, what I was promised, and that I was left with a vehicle with a broken AC. I needed help resolving the situation, but I felt like Exeter Finance did not help me in any meaningful way.”
The consumer says this response left him feeling that he was effectively on his own while continuing to face the financial obligations associated with the vehicle.
Allegations Involving Dealership Representatives

The consumer identifies Shant Mgerian and Alireza Ajori as the two dealership representatives he says were involved in the sales and financing process.
He alleges that both individuals made representations that influenced his decision to proceed with the purchase. According to the consumer, he was assured that significant problems with the vehicle would be addressed, including the air-conditioning issue.
The consumer alleges that he relied on those assurances and completed the financing transaction, only to discover that the vehicle remained defective.

“Shant Mgerian and Alireza Ajori are the two people I dealt with. I believe they misled me and tricked me into moving forward with the financing by giving me assurances about the vehicle that were not honored.”

The consumer says the situation became particularly distressing because he had a pregnant wife and a one-year-old child and was left dealing with a vehicle without functioning air conditioning.

I still felt a little alienated when I was asking certain questions. I didn’t feel like I was being a customer instead of just another person, but I went ahead and did what I had to do and is done. Hopefully my next experience will be better than that.
