The order went smoothly. It was nice to get the sheets included in the price of the bed. The bed is very comfortable, ands is used in a guest room. Delivery was prompt, and helpful.

Customer service is great
Customer service is great. I had received the bamboo sheets in error, I contacted customer service and a set of cotton sheets was sent to me immediately. The mattress is very comfy - not too soft - just firm enough. I highly recommend this Canadian company.

Fast shipping but Douglas is failing on their return policy. Lack of any response. Complete silence since attempting to return a mattress that is absolutely terrible to sleep on. This mattress hurts my back and sleep feels like a punishment. Return initiated through my order form and two emails sent for follow up without a response.

A nightmare Of Bad Customer Service
A nightmare of bad customer service. I ordered my bed as I was moving to a new residence in BC from Alberta. I was told that my mattress would not arrive for at least 5 days from ordering and payment so I had time to get to the new location before it was due to be delivered. I was going to wait until I moved into my new suite before ordering but the agent ASSURED me that it would be okay and that I would also receive a discount if I ordered right then and there instead of waiting like I had originally planned. You can only imagine my utter shock and horror when I received notification that my bed had already been delivered while I was still in Alberta and in transit. They'd plopped it all in front of the building where there would be no one to receive it and it would be left out in the open for anyone to steal. I was 24 hours away and could not get a hold of anyone from my new building to deal with the items left there, unattended. I called the company over and over again while on the road to BC and spoke to one agent after another to get this situation fixed. I was so upset by their lack of understanding for the situation and their careless attitude when giving me advice about what I could do eg: "Can't you just ask somebody to pick up the items and put them in safekeeping" for you?" Uh, no...I don't know anyone at that location because I'm a new resident. Anyway, it took several days of agonizing over what to do with those items since I no longer wanted them and decided to have them sent back and demanded a refund. I will never ever again even consider mail order buying from Douglas Mattress again. I was so disgusted by the whole stressful process that I decided to buy a bed from Sleep Country, for just a little more in cost but free and reliable delivery to my new home. Douglas Mattress may very well have a great product, but I'll never know because I lost my appetite for the sale. Learned my lesson.

It was easy to order
It was easy to order. It came on time. The roll out was simple and most of all my parents love their new mattress. I was worried that they were going from a king to a queen. The transition was made simple and they find it very comfortable.
