Feeling cheated, this is a trap
I feel deeply betrayed by CheckCars24 and its sales process. When I signed the agreement for my Nissan Qashqai in 2024 (41074672 Kunden Nr 852077), I understood the offer as mileage-based leasing, with an allowance of 12,500 km per year. The salesperson did not transparently explain to me the potential financial risks of residual-value leasing.
Only later did I realise the significance of the residual-value arrangement and the possibility that I could have to pay the difference if the vehicle sells for less than the agreed residual value.
My original vehicle price was €36,462, while the contractual residual value is €34,156.32. The documents also use confusing terminology, referring both to “Restwertabrechnung” and “Kilometerabrechnung.” I am now struggling to get clear answers about how the residual value was calculated and how my final settlement will be determined.
As the contract end approaches, this uncertainty is causing enormous stress for me and my family. I trusted CheckCars24 to explain what I was signing. Had the potential financial consequences been clearly explained, I would have reconsidered the agreement.
I feel let down by the lack of transparency and the position I now find myself in. Customers deserve to understand the risks before signing—not discover their significance when the contract is nearing its end.
My advice to anyone considering CheckCars24: Do not look only at the monthly payment and mileage allowance. Ask explicitly whether the agreement is mileage-based or residual-value leasing
CheckCars24, I expect a clear explanation and a fair, practical solution. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in your company.
I have written multiple email to you since more than a month now and have not received a single response.
Hi Checkcars24 team, what is the next step you are proposing and the solution? As mentioned before, this residual value leasing was never communicated to me. I was only informed about the kilometer.
