at your surprise location bell/reems my dad made an appointment on 9/5/26 at 1pm to get rear brake shoes replace on a tocoma. it took them 3 hours to tell him they can't get the drum off and now they don't have time to get the job done. do you guys even do brakes there? are your mechanics that inexperienced? surprisingly disappointed
Went in to get an oil change, was in and out within an hour. Came back later to get my brakes taken care of. They went above and beyond. Initially was going to have to leave my vehicle over night, but the parts came in about an hour or so before close. So they decided to take care of it instead of having me leave my car over night, which they thought they were going to initially have to do. I Needed new caliper and break pads. A hiccup occurred and one of the employees went out of their way take a trip to go get proper brake pads because the wrong ones had been shipped to them. They could have called in quits, but decided to stay after hours and get the job done! They did an awesome job communicating with me every step of the way. Even offered Lyft to take me hime/ pick me up if they were unable to finish. They also applied available discounts to help out with the price! Was very pleased with their extra effort. Glad to have my car back in working order.
I left my Volvo for an alignment and tire rotation at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. They call me at 3:00 p.m. to tell me that they couldn't get to my car because they were "too busy". I found it to be disrespectful to their clients, especially in a long weekend. Instead I went o Firestone, on Parker Rd. told them what happened and they provide excellent service, same price, and threw me a $10 bucks discount for my trouble with Brake Plus. I have been at Brake Plus before, I won't come back and I will not recommend to anybody.
James and Jonathan are real friendly when I stop by to drop off parts. I highly recommend them because of their friendly outtake and excellent customer service.
From the initial phone call made to the store until I walked out the store when I was done I felt really good about the people that worked there and I was comfortable. I had my car taken care of at the Arlington location off of Brown Street. I cannot tell you how happy I was with the time limit. They had my car out in a couple hours and what a relief that was for me cause I really didn’t have transportation.
Spoke with Boe to get a phone quote for a possible problem and he offered to have me come in right away and could take a look. A test drive and thorough inspection, however, did not find an issue. And, in fact, I was assured that everything was in great shape, and nothing could be found amiss. With a sigh of relief, I stated that if and when I DO have a problem, I will know where to take my car. Personnel were very knowledgeable and personable and, as a female, I felt very respected and not dismissed, as has been previous experiences in the car repair industry. Highly recommend Boe and this location. (ONLY caveat was a lack of air conditioning but, hopefully, that's fixable.)
Zach was friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable. Went to the Frisco Location and was a walk-in and was able to help me that day.
Would not go to Brakes Plus Anna. GM is extremely rude and does not understand customer service!
This happened in the Rowlett location. I’ve been a long time loyal customer to Brake’s plus. Over the years I’ve become to know each manager. I have the personal cell phone to Brandon , and Jason who were previously managers at that location. And I was getting to know Steven because I trusted what he told me and I knew he backed the work like every manager I’ve come to know. But my most recent experience with Steven off for the recent birth of his child. Left me there with Angelo , I believe. My wife’s brake lights wouldn’t turn off, my friend who is a mechanic said check switch. I bought one and got the old one out but couldn’t get the new clip in to install switch. So I drove my wife’s car to brakes plus to keep her safe. The fill in manager asked how he could help. I said my wife’s brakes lights wouldn’t turn off and asked if they could install the switch I had bought , but couldn’t get in. He asked how I knew it was the switch I said my friend said start there , he asked what if this doesn’t fix it , then I said I’d happily pay for a diagnosis. The mechanic drove the car back to a bay and about 15 mins later it was running outside the door. They said it was fixed and I asked if the brake lights were off and the trac warning was too. He said brake lights were off that the other light was on, but could turn off after driving it. We got home and brake lights or trac warning light didn’t turn off. So we both returned and I was upset. I asked what happen to my wife’s car being fixed? He told me they installed the switch like I asked. I told him I wanted it fixed like he told me. I asked if they adjusted it and he told me it wasn’t adjustable which it can be. I was yelling and and he grabbed the phone to call the police after he said he wasn’t going to work on her car and for me to leave. I left the building and tried slamming door , but a safety mechanism in door prevented that and it was left open. I left the property in my truck , and my wife kept insisting her brakes be fixed so it was safe for her to drive. He threw her out too and said he was calling the police because I broke his door. I made it down the road about 5 minutes from the incident. Rowlett police pulled me over and told me they heard I broke their door and it was $1,200 estimate to get it fixed. I told the officer they got me quick , but how did they get the estimate that quick and he agreed it sounded fishy. But the door appeared to be broke, I said I’d pay damages I caused , but the fill in refused. He pressed charges and I was arrested for criminal mischief and trespassing if I return. Less than an hour later me wife drove by in my truck and the door was working. I have a special needs daughter who rides with my wife often. I coach Special Olympics, I’m not a bad guy, I admit I could’ve been calmer , but the very recent death of our other daughter 2 months ago has me emotional. But he lied and said work was done and lied about my wife’s safety. I’ve spent probably over $20,000 at that one location. Any other manager wouldn’t have let my wife leave the store without functioning lights and would’ve had kept trying. It wasn’t the switch after all. It was the brake light switch stop. A bumper stop on pedals. There was also one brake light out and a running light that could’ve made y’all more money on the sell, and insuring my wife’s safety. We will be filing a complaint and seeking legal action for my false arrest.
Amazing service Robert help so much thank you for the amazing work on my car I appreciate this store
My family and I was on a trip from Minnesota to St.louis MO and ran into car trouble. My car had a bad alternator that forced us to stop in Iowa. The nearest shop at the time was Brakes Plus in Hiawatha that was recommended by the AutoZone we stopped at. I took the car to Brakes Plus and they were able to get us in right away and they said it would take about 3hrs. Which is in line with the labor quote i got from the Toyota dealership for an alternator job (2.9hrs) for a Toyota Sequoia. When they finished and they handed the vehicle back to me I drove it to the gas station next to the shop to give it a look over before continuing our trip. I know my way around cars and have worked at shops fixing vehicles as well as my own so i did my usual inspections around where the repair was performed and I found that the tech who worked on my vehicle FORGOT a nut to the power steering pump. I immediately took the car back and spoke with the manager Antoine. My car was brought back and the bolt was supposedly put back on. At the time, Antoine told me that the tech had forgotten the nut in the tool he used. Antoine took me back to look it over and there was now a nut on where it was missing before. As i looked around with Antoine's flashlight, I noticed wet spots on the undercarriage/skid plate. I pointed it out to Antoine and he went down and felt around it and he said it was nothing but old oil stain. I should have pushed the issue harder and have Antoine remove the skid plate to verify the leak because my car was NOT leaking anything before we started the trip but against my better judgement I took the word of the MANAGER and we left to continue our trip. About 300 miles later around our destination my transmission light started flashing intermittently. When we got to the hotel we checked in and when we came back to unload our belongings there was a pool of fluid under the car. Upon inspection, it was transmission fluid. At this point I ended up having to contact a mobile mechanic since my car was not drivable at this point. The mobile mechanic found that the transmission line from the radiator was kinked in a downward position and was breaking off. He said this was most likely caused by something (like the alternator hitting it when it's being removed or installed.) I ended up having to replace the radiator to the tune of about $650 for parts and labor for a mistake made by Brake Plus. In the process of replacing the radiator the mobile mechanic also found the missing nut to the power steering pump. It was sitting next to the pump itself. Antoine and his staff had lied and put on a random nut they had laying in the shop in the place of the missing nut. I contacted Antoine once i got back to Minnesota and told him what had happened and so far they haven't taken any responsibility of this. I explained what the mobile mechanic found with the missing nut and his reasoning was that it looked like a rusted nut so it must of been from my car. I've submitted invoices and receipts for the parts I had to buy to fix the radiator that Antoine requested and I still have not heard anything. Not even an email or a call to confirm that the information was received and it's being worked on. Brake Plus charged me a little over $1000 in parts and labor to replace the alternator and this is the type of work they did. Extremely disappointed. Will be contacting corporate office for more resolution. I can't speak of other Brake Plus but stay clear of this one. The lack of care put into double checking their work and taking accountability for their mistake is enough to stay away.
Ms Chasity was very helpful and she gave me more advice and details about some new repairs for my vehicle and I really appreciated her for that thanks Brake plus 👍🏾
This company sent me a coupon for $20 off of a $99 Oil Change so I thought i would try them out. I get there and they start adding fees after fees and tell me the $99 Oil change with coupon will be $140. Just advertise the oil change at $140 and quit trying to scam people with low advertised prices that are not true. This is what car dealerships do so I guess it makes sense that the service of the cars try to do the same thing.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I recently visited Brakes Plus at the Westgate location in Wylie, TX, to have my oil changed and tires rotated before taking my family on a road trip. Kevin and Kyle were absolutely exceptional!
They were professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure I received the best service at the best possible price. They helped me save both time and money while making sure the important maintenance was taken care of before we hit the road.
What really stood out to me was the peace of mind they gave me. Knowing that my vehicle had been properly serviced and was ready for our trip made a huge difference, especially when traveling with my family.
Customer service like this is becoming harder to find, and Kevin and Kyle deserve recognition for doing it right. I truly appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile. I’ll definitely be returning to this Brakes Plus location and would highly recommend Kevin and Kyle to anyone looking for trustworthy, quality service!
Thank you so much for fixing my car really good, better than when I brought it in.
Did I expect that the mice ate the wiring for my a/c on a very hot summer? no I did not, but it's fixed and working great.
Thanks Josh
Needed a 4-wheel alignment. They got me in and out in great time. Went over the before and after scans. Nice!
Paul and staff very helpful complete service was done at fair price. Would highly recommend brakes plus Peoria deer valley for all vehicles services. Will be using this store for all my vehicles maintenance. Chris Doetzer
Took my truck in for oil change at Arvada location. The shop was very clean and well maintained the staff was very courteous. Chrissy took my truck back on time and was finished quickly. she reset the mileage reminder which other shops i have used seemed to not either know how to do or didn’t care. Chrissy brought my truck back to the front when finished and explained what was done. I will be bringing my vehicles back to this shop for the maintenance needed.
AC blowing hot air after sitting in sun on 2021 GMC sierra. Cold air eventually starts after 5 minutes down the road at higher speeds. The techs at Flagstaff Arizona tried their best but $1,000 later I still have same problem. Gave up on them and will get with gm service.
