Seller — Use With Caution

I recently used Autozen to sell my 2017 Audi A4 Allroad and while their staff were friendly and professional in the early stages, my overall experience ended up being stressful and disappointing. Especially due to a major lapse in communication and process transparency. Here’s exactly what happened:

March 18, 2025: Autozen inspected my car.

March 19, 2025: I received an offer, which I accepted.

March 26, 2025: Autozen picked up my vehicle, payment was deposited in my account.

March 28, around 5:00 AM: I noticed the payment had been withdrawn from my account — no explanation, no warning, no documentation. I called the bank and they confirmed that Autozen has withdrew the money and I was told to by my bank to contact Autozen immediately if I did not authorize the payment.

At 6 AM, I was able to contact the friendly staff who picked up my vehicle on Wednesday and he agreed to contact his office for me.

Around 10:00 AM: After I made multiple calls, I finally got a call back from Sean Maravich (CEO), who explained the buyer backed out and there “might be something wrong” with the car — despite it already having passed Autozen’s own inspection.

From 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM on March 28, Autozen had both my car and my money. That felt completely unacceptable — possibly even illegal.

March 28, 3:30 PM: My car was returned. Still, I was never given any documentation or explanation for what issue was allegedly found.

To make things worse, I later discovered that the buyer had briefly listed my car for sale on a website even before they had received the vehicle. That’s incredibly unprofessional — and again, the seller is the one left in the dark and taking all the risk.

Ultimately, I traded my car in at the dealership where I bought my new car for about $3,000 less, but I felt that the peace of mind and straightforward process were worth it. In hindsight, I could have avoided the unnecessary stress and confusion if I had just gone that route to begin with.

Autozen’s model might work for some, but in my experience, the seller takes all the risk. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

Great company

The easiest way I have ever encountered to sell a car. No ridiculous back and forth. Just straightforward, easy, transparent and fair.

Highly recommended car sale service!

Very professional service which made the sale of my daughter in laws vehicle extremely positive experience.
A very fair price was achieved! A newer vehicle had already been purchased privately so a trade in was not an option.
It was safe for her as no contact was necessary with anyone except Autozen to conclude this sale!
Highly recommend Autozen to sell your vehicle!
