Unethical cost increases
I requested a quote in April to ship from Ottawa to Calgary. It took a while to figure out the details and dates. When I was ready to book, I reached out with some questions, and they told me my quote was expired and re-quoted me -- the cost had gone up $200. They stated fuel costs as the reason. However, when the quote was created, fuel costs were higher than they are now. The national average retail price for gasoline across Canada is 175.4 cents per litre today, compared to an average of roughly 189.5 cents per litre in April 2026, marking a decrease of about 14.1 cents per litre.
