Firaas Rashid shared thisThis is my favourite thing that we've ever released and I'm going to get a bit nerdy about it. I've always been a bit frustrated that "AI Agents" that have been on market to date aren't really agentic. They are a linear workflow with one input and one or two outputs. They run on a triggered event (eg an email) and just have a bit of AI in the middle. Basically what everyone has been doing for years but with some AI text. True agency comes from giving AI a big goal and giving it the freedom to do what it wants. It must be self-scheduling to follow up on what it's done. There must be customer-aligned goals that are achieved and validated not just fire and forget. And they must have resources to learn from and escalate internally. Just like humans. And our onboarding agent Activator does just that. Tell it where you need the customer to get to in the first X days and it will work on it and keep you posted until it's done.

Firaas Rashid shared thisWe’ve just launched something exciting - and it’s free! The Hook Success Planner was built to help CSMs think more clearly about where to focus, how to add value, and how to show up better in customer conversations. It’s not generic AI - it’s grounded in years of customer success best practices. We built this because helping CSMs directly really matters to us. https://lnkd.in/e8x3w4SE

Firaas Rashid shared thisWho’s up for a night of celebration (and maybe a few surprises)? I’ve set aside 10 tickets to give away to the Customer Growth Awards. It’s time to make sure we are giving back to this amazing community. On September 17th at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, the Customer Growth Awards will be a chance to recognise the people and teams pushing our industry forward, and to enjoy an evening of good energy with friends, peers, and partners. If you’d like to join, just drop me a note - I’d love for you to be part of it.

Firaas Rashid shared thisBig day at Hook HQ. As we launch: new Hook. I have been very protective of our brand since we launched back in 2021. And it felt like the right time to evolve it, so I'm proud to welcome our new look to the world. See it in action: hook.co And read more about why here: https://lnkd.in/etceFrjn

Firaas Rashid shared thisI promise my job has more to it than shipping new product but in the meantime: ANNOUNCING HOOK CHAT!!! What if your CS team could ask: → "I have a meeting with my CEO tomorrow. What are the top risks I need to be ready to discuss?" → "Tell me everything I need to know to stop this account from becoming a churn risk." → "Can you write me an agenda for a customer meeting I'm having?" → “What’s my most impactful action to take today based on my account risks?” → "Tell me about [CSM NAME]'s book of business" …and get the answer in seconds? (real questions above being asked live) Hook Chat is now live - real-time, on-demand answers from across your data - CRM, support, product usage, emails, meetings, and more - tied in with precision accuracy from our AI. We heard from customers that chat-only experiences make it really hard for them to know what to ask questions about. If you don’t know there’s a problem, why would you go asking about it? But we also heard that a UI only experience means it’s hard to get detailed answers on nuanced questions like “help me write a message to my manager to get their help on this account”. So we built Hook Chat and built it into our user experience for all customers.

Firaas Rashid liked thisFiraas Rashid liked thisIt's one of my favorite days of the month....PAY DAY!! To all my fellow Americans, you only get paid once a month in the UK. Maybe your eyes are widening the way mine did when I found this out. Most British people say they prefer it this way because it makes it easier to budget. I, on the other hand, miss being paid bi-weekly. Maybe it's because I like the instant gratification. Whereas being paid monthly feels like delayed gratification. Would you prefer to be paid monthly or bi-weekly?

We’re saying to investors, we’re literally sitting in one of the world’s best innovation economies.” This is a watershed moment for UK innovation. Today, we can announce that new investors British Business Bank and NatWest Group are joining our existing investors M&G and HSBC in backing Phoenix Court to invest in the next generation of British startups and scaleups. We know the challenge to overcome. Fewer than 1% of the $25M+ revenue businesses in the UK have been funded by institutional Mansion House Accord investors. More broadly, only 17% of scaleup capital is domestic. Our solution is simple. Connect these investors to the strongest pipeline of exceptional companies to simultaneously close the domestic scaleup funding gap while helping institutional investors (and therefore UK citizens) capitalise on the success of the UK innovation economy. The proof is in our Solar Pilot Fund, where we’ve backed 18 leading businesses generating over £7BN in revenue and creating 8500 jobs across the UK (not to mention thousands more abroad). Firaas Rashid liked thisWe're delighted to announce our partnership with Unit1 Studio, whose state of the art technology is unlocking new opportunities in the entertainment industry. Until now, avatar concerts have been locked behind the economics of ABBA Voyage: extraordinary to watch, but a one-off in a purpose-built venue, with development and relocation costs that meant nobody could follow it. Unit1's technology changes that, and opens the genre up to a whole generation of legacy artists. Barney Wragg brings the perfect balance of creative vision and commercial nous, and we're excited to support him on this journey. More here from Barney: https://lnkd.in/ecAB7wYCFiraas Rashid liked thisA big thankyou to Alex Lawson and The Guardian for the piece about Unit1 Studio. It’s for everybody involved receive recognition like this. The underlying story here is two fold, 1) We’ve been able to prove a major milestone in the re-location and replication of an avatar show. Moving rapidly from one space to another and seamlessly aligning the rendered images, lights and physical design is a big step forward for our industry. It truely opens up the ability to “replicate” these shows in multiple locations and brings into focus the option of “theatre like” touring. 2) Secondly our tech is maturing to a level were we able to raise significant funding to allow us secure the rights we need to develop these productions. What started as a passion project to recreate amazing moments in live music is slowly becoming a reality. https://lnkd.in/eDyyat6J Massive thank you to everyone who has supported us on the journey so far..... Firaas Rashid liked thisFiraas Rashid liked thisI get slapped with a tonne of bad outreach Especially since I started posting on Linkedin Pitch slaps, bait and switches, just poorly researched generic DMs and emails So when I receive a genuinely good outreach, it's worth calling out and celebrating Welcome to the stage Charlie Todd I don't know Charlie, and I don't know Hook But I'm giving you your flowers fella A cheeky DM that warmed me up and stroked my ego And then a nice follow up on email that was well researched, tailored and personalised to Paperturn and my Customer Success use case I haven't booked a demo yet, and truth be told, I'm not 100% sure if I will But that's not on account of the outreach. That part was great. Well done Charlie, and well done Hook If you're using Linkedin or Emails for cold outreach, be like Charlie

Firaas Rashid liked thisFiraas Rashid liked thisI’m building a product in a market I have absolutely no experience in.. Coming from service-based businesses where, in many ways, you are the product people buy, building something physical has been a complete learning curve. One of the biggest lessons? The people you choose to build your product become just as important as your immediate team. You’re trusting them with your quality, timelines and, ultimately, a HUGE part of the customer experience. After months of conversations and negotiations, these were some of the less obvious things that shaped our decision when choosing a manufacturer (beyond the usual quality, cost and logistics checklist): 1. Communication - How responsive were they from the very first conversation? 2. Problem Solving - When challenges come up, do they collaborate on solutions or create more friction? 3. Curiosity - Do they ask questions you hadn’t even thought of? 4. Understanding - Do they understand why the details matter, not just the brief? 5. Chemistry - Do you actually get along and do they care about what you’re building? Am I missing anything? For anyone thinking about it.. choose wisely, it’s arguably THE most important decision you make 🤝🤝

Are private companies rethinking their financing? UK Finance’s Business Finance Review reveals noteworthy trends in lending to small and medium-sized private companies. High street bank lending hit £4.24 billion in Q2 2025, up 8% year-on-year. Small businesses (with a turnover of under £2 million) saw a significant 28% increase in gross lending. Loan approvals are up 7% by number and 11% by value, but overdrafts are declining. Does this suggest a shift to more structured financing over immediate credit? With deposits down and economic uncertainty, private companies face critical decisions on how to manage resources for growth or stability. https://lnkd.in/eFEXrCSx?

Balance transfer offers are the best they've been for ages with most major banks now offering 30+ months at 0%. Competition is fierce right now and lenders are fighting hard for balances with consumers the winners. Around half of people with balances on their credit cards are paying interest each month - and many of those will be eligible for one of these new offers. If you switch your balance to a 0% offer the savings are meaningful, often enough to start building a buffer or fund something like a holiday. I spoke to the Express about what's driving this and what it means for consumers: https://lnkd.in/e3Ax36UH

Welcome Kriya! This is a strong statement of intent to keep innovating for Britain’s established SMEs. The acquisition of Kriya strengthens Allica’s ability to provide faster, more flexible working-capital finance - exactly what so many growing businesses need right now. Huge credit to the Allica Bank and Kriya teams for getting this over the line and delivering on such a clear strategic vision. 👏 #SMEFinance #Fintech #BusinessBanking
