From catching up with our brilliant US Architects in London, to presenting at our Softcat Multinational Kick Off about the impact they've had over the past year and our plans for what's next, and then last night came something I genuinely was not expecting! I was honoured to receive the Collaboration Champion of the Year award. Genuinely I was shocked to hear my name called (I may have let slip a slight expletive!) and it's one of the proudest moments of my career at Softcat, but while my name may be on the trophy, this award is really about the people I've had the privilege of working alongside. The technical and multinational teams have achieved so much together over the last year, and their hard work, commitment and willingness to support one another are the real reasons for our success, so thank you to everyone who has been part of that journey. A huge congratulations to all the other winners, and a massive thank you to everyone involved in organising such a brilliant Multinational Kick Off. Now, on to Birmingham and our company wide Kick Off event this weekend!

Dylan Foster-Edwards liked thisDylan Foster-Edwards liked thisAnd just like that, today marks my last visit to our London office because after just over three years, on Friday of this week I’ll be closing the chapter on what has been a pretty incredible ride here at Advania! 🚀 I’ve had the opportunity to build some things I’m genuinely really proud of. From establishing the Advania Belong Network and championing women across the business, to building a Resource Management function from scratch and establishing our Early Careers programme across the UK and South Africa. 🌍 The Early Careers programme will always be a particular highlight for me. Watching it grow, seeing the people who came through it develop and knowing we’ve opened the door for some brilliant talent has been incredibly rewarding. And to see the programme shortlisted for the CRN Women & Diversity Awards is the icing on the cake. I’ll be keeping everything crossed for a win! 🤞 I’ve met some genuinely brilliant people over the last three years and made some great friends. A big shout out goes to Patrick Thatcher who hired me, believed in me and always backed me throughout my time here! It's been an absolute pleasure Pat but I can't say I'll miss pretending to be interested in the Springboks 🏉 😉 To my wonderful SA Team, Skye Williams, Avile Maneli & Shihaam Salie, thank you for your hard work and humour! I promise I’ll make it to Cape Town one day for a cocktail or 10 🍸 And to my fellow Directors - Alex, Andrew, Kathryn, Mike, Wes & Kevin - it's been a wild ride 😅 - but the sense of team amongst us and the way we can laugh at literally anything is what I'll miss the most! I’ll always look back incredibly fondly on my time at Advania. But now it’s time for the next chapter… and this one brings me back to my home city of Leeds 💙 💛 👀

I'm not able to thank everyone individually who made working here such a joy, but I want to acknowledge Peter Wilson for the opportunity that set my path, Nick Isherwood for his guidance and support as I grew into Azure Service Architect, and Chris O'Brien for his continued leadership as I moved into Azure Product Manager. During my time here, I had the privilege of working across Azure architecture, FinOps and managed services strategy, and go-to-market creation, most recently as Microsoft Product Manager, shaping our Azure propositions along the way. Being part of that growth was a rewarding experience, made possible by the exceptional people who contributed to it, and I will genuinely miss working with you all. I'm now taking a short break to get married, before starting the next stage of my career.
