Extremely Disappointing Experience With Emergent AI

My experience with Emergent AI has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had with a company while building a website.

What started as a website that I had personally built and gotten into working condition turned into an endless cycle of back-and-forth communication, technical issues, system changes, and having to spend additional money addressing problems that I believe were caused by changes within their platform.

The biggest issue for me has been the lack of meaningful accountability. Instead of simply helping restore and correct issues with work that was already functioning, I have repeatedly been given explanations, instructions, videos, and recommendations that have resulted in even more time and effort on my end. At times, the communication has felt extremely impersonal and heavily AI-generated rather than like I was dealing with a company genuinely trying to understand and resolve my situation.

I have exchanged more than 80 emails and messages regarding these issues. I have documented the problems, explained what I built, explained what was working, and repeatedly asked for a practical solution. Yet instead of simply restoring what was already working and allowing me to continue improving my website, I have been presented with additional paid options and expensive packages for assistance.

One of the most frustrating parts is being told that an engineer or specialist can help—at an additional cost—when the problem is ultimately about restoring and fixing work that I had already completed. I don't need someone to rebuild my vision for me. I need the platform to stop breaking or changing the work I have already done and for the company to take responsibility when its own system causes problems.

The customer service experience has also been extremely disappointing. I have received responses that often feel scripted rather than genuinely responsive to the specific issues I am raising. When you have invested significant time and money into building something, the last thing you want is to feel like you are communicating with a system rather than people who are actually taking ownership of the problem.

I genuinely wish I could publish the entire history of my correspondence because the full story would speak for itself.

My advice to anyone considering Emergent AI is simple: do your research and understand exactly what happens when something goes wrong before investing significant time and money into your project.

For me, the biggest disappointment isn't that problems occurred—technical problems can happen with any platform. It's how those problems were handled afterward. I expected accountability, practical support, and a genuine effort to restore what I had already built. Instead, I experienced repeated frustration, additional costs, and a tremendous amount of wasted time.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Emergent AI.
