Ever since APCOA removed the gates from the Luton Airport Drop-Off, I've received a multitude of parking fines. The new layout is simply not user-friendly, and without a physical barrier, it is way too easy to forget to pay. Not to mention, expecting people to take notes on how and where to pay parking charges while actively driving is ridiculous and unsafe. This poor design is exacerbated by the fact that you cannot plan your journey and pay in advance. Compare it to the Dart Charge, which literally lets you pay in advance for months. With APCOA, you can only pay afterwards, which is ridiculously unreasonable. When you are doing airport runs and receiving family, the last thing on your mind is logging on to deal with APCOA. It's an absolute rip-off and a horrid experience. I wonder how many people fall into this error.
