Our camper, rented from Vanever Germany, developed an engine warning light on the second day of our rental. Because it was a Sunday, the emergency hotline was not staffed. There was no assistance, no alternative contact, and no response from the company. We were left stranded on the side of the highway while trying to catch a ferry.

We had to call the German ADAC, who inspected the camper and confirmed whether it was still safe to drive. Despite providing no support or responding to our requests, Vanever has refused to reimburse the €250 roadside assistance fee. We find this unacceptable customer service.

In addition, the bedding was stained, had holes, and was incomplete. The smoke detector also had an expired battery.

Overall, this was a very disappointing and unpleasant rental experience.

I’m posting this to warn others — I do not recommend Vanever.

Customer service was a catastrophe, honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced. During heavy snowfall, with roads covered in snow and clearly dangerous, I repeatedly asked (phone and many, many emails) a simple but safety-critical question: whether the camper was equipped with winter/snow tires. I never received a clear or official confirmation.

In such conditions, this uncertainty is not a minor issue — it’s a serious safety risk. A rental company operating in winter should be able to confirm this immediately, to keep people safe.

Even though the camper had a few minor technical issues along the way, customer support was super kind, great value for our money. There was a “second-chance-owner rack in the office, where one could leave both food and books and other stuff for next renters, or see if there was anything you could need for your own trip. Great idea♥️

I had a great experience with VanEver when renting a camper van in Munich for my trip to Austria. From the very beginning, the service was excellent — the team was incredibly helpful, clear in their communication, and very open to feedback. The van was really well equipped, from comfort to all the small details that make a big difference on a road trip. They also provided cooking utensils, which made the whole experience even smoother.

Compared to other companies I looked into, the prices were very reasonable and fair for what was included.

We had an excellent time. Phillip,the owner, was amazing, he helped us with so many things along the way. He was always very patient and wanting to help and always found a way to do so. The carvan was In great shape, and really suitable for our needs. As a pose to many other companies, vanever offers the van with all the equipment needed and with no extra charge on them (towels, chairs, table, extre gas stove for outside, sticker for toll highways, fence for the alcove bed for children etc). We were two adults, a baby and a little girl, traveling for almost a month. It is a new company and thought we are taking a risk but were very happy!

We had an amazing experience with the car rented here. Even though we planned our trip very spontaneously, we're happy to have gotten the exact car we wished for and a brand new one at that. The car had every possible thing that is needed for a comfortable camping experience, The overall process was very quick, yet very informative on all necessary details about the car, so that we could immediately go on about our adventures. We absolutely fell in love with the car and would definitely rent it again for future trips. The staff was super friendly and chill. Overall, would recommend 10/10.

Vanever was a flawless service all the way way from the time of booking, to trip preparation and during the camper rental.
Our family of 4 had a super time during our 5 night rental.
Booking was super easy with all questions answered helpfully and swiftly by Phillip and Pascal.
The camper handover included a very detailed session which showed us how to use the camper. The camper was fully equipped with all equipment and utensils that that we would need for the trip. It was spotlessly clean too!!
We really had a ball, Vanever were even available to answer a quick usage query during our trip, they were happy to help.

My family of 4 had a superb time, Vanever ensured that everything was perfect. We will be back!
