I’m Abdullah Ashraf, the founder. I’m responding personally because anyone reading this deserves the full picture.
On whether this works
Just one of our products, The Hifz Book, has sold over 25,000 copies crossing $1M in revenue, with 50,000+ followers across social media. Quran Blueprints has over 20,000 customers. We have many other successful products over the last 10 years following exactly what we teach. Clients like End Clutter Overwhelm and The Padel Advantage have built real, operating digital businesses through this model. Ten years of this journey is documented publicly across my Facebook. I don’t hide behind a logo. I put my name, my face, and my track record on everything.
On our Islamic values
My mission statement is the hadith: “The honest, trustworthy merchant will be with the prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs.” The Wealthy Muslim exists to serve Muslims who want to build ethical, halal income. That is the standard we hold ourselves to and welcome being judged by.
On what was actually delivered
This client joined specifically because he did not want to do the work himself. That is valid. What is not valid is expecting zero involvement to produce guaranteed outcomes. Over eight months our team delivered market research, two complete product offers, full funnel builds, copywriting, ad creative, campaign management, and ongoing strategy sessions, the majority outside the original scope at no extra cost.
By the end, this client had validated products with real sales data. We told him these assets could be sold within our network, potentially recovering more than his total investment. His response, in his own words: “I don’t want any assets, keep everything you built to yourself.” We offered two options: continue the work to year-end, or take a partial refund. He chose the refund. It has been processed. All documented and available to anyone who wants to see.
On the financial reality
Total ad spend across eight months was approximately $1,000. That is a testing budget, not a campaign budget. At a realistic 2x return on ad spend, you must be prepared to spend at least $1,000 per month to work toward profitability. Spending $1,000 over eight months and expecting $1,000/month profit is a mathematical impossibility regardless of the product or team. Stocks and real estate return 8–10% per year. No serious investor expects first-year profitability on a new business with minimal capital deployed.
On responsibility
Islam prohibits gharar, excessive uncertainty, because outcomes are never fully in human hands. To promise a specific financial outcome as certain would itself be impermissible. Islam also places responsibility on the buyer. Allah commands that agreements be documented and that people not overextend beyond their means. Entering a $6,800 investment without attending a single group call in eight months, without completing any curriculum, and without the runway to sustain ad spend is not something we could control.
One final thing
During this dispute I was told, quote: “Insha’Allah, you will spend my money and much more on medical surgeries and treatments. Mark my word for life.” I share this only because it speaks to the character behind this review. The Prophet ﷺ said: “It is not befitting for a truthful person to curse.” We processed the agreed refund regardless.
We are not a perfect business. We make mistakes and own them. What we are is a real team who spent eight months building something genuine for a client who chose not to engage with it.
