Really disappointed with my experience from VATAi. They are super fast at responding until you actually signed up for a service.

They got back to me after 3 months requesting I send some documents to the German VAT office. They had dated the documents to beginning of February, so they should have clearly been sent when applying for the VAT number.

We used VATAi for EU VAT compliance services, including Netherlands VAT and OSS registration, because we needed proper guidance before selling into the EU.

Unfortunately, this has been a very poor and stressful experience. After we had already paid and relied on them to manage the process, VATAi rejected/refused to proceed with our OSS registration. This was not a small administrative issue — OSS is a core compliance requirement for our EU sales, and their refusal left our business in a very vulnerable position.

Their poor communication made the situation worse. Messages were ignored, we were passed between different contacts, and we were added to a WhatsApp group where no one properly responded. We had to chase repeatedly for basic answers, status updates, evidence of what had been submitted, and information needed for another provider to take over.

In my view, VATAi effectively held our business hostage in a serious compliance situation. We were left exposed to potential VAT, legal and accounting problems with EU authorities while trying to operate correctly and stay compliant.

We then had to urgently engage another VAT compliance provider, causing unnecessary stress, disruption, delays and extra costs.

I would not recommend VATAi for VAT/OSS services. When a business depends on a provider for tax compliance, clear communication and reliable delivery are essential. In our case, VATAi failed to provide both.

Unprofessional, Unreliable and don't respond to the phone, OSS deadline was passed and they didn't submit the return in time, tried to contact them and no chance. Stay away.

Never work with this company! My vat number got cancel and they don;t even know why and of course didn't let me know about the problems.
The fiscal representative disappear and I got no explanations about the reasons of my vat number being closed.
Afte that they left me hanging for months without opetations.

There were some issues during the process, but overall the staff was always courteous, professional, and efficient in supporting us. At first, I had attributed part of the difficulty to them regarding the request for certain certified documents, but in reality the misunderstanding was related to the notaries I contacted, not to VATAI.

Overall, the experience was positive. Their team has been very available in helping us address problems and in trying to find solutions whenever needed. The only real downside was that the German authorities lost my documents, and I was only informed about this two months later, which meant I had to restart the process from the beginning.

Despite this inconvenience, I appreciated their willingness to assist and their readiness to help throughout the procedure.

Great experience with vatai unlike previous provider A***K whom I would never wish on anyone. In contrast, vatai is affordable, dependable, reliable, and most of all, patient, professional, efficient and transparent. I have learnt so much regarding EU VAT which I never knew. I cannot recommend vatai enough for their professionalism, efficiency and reliability.
