Everybody should take a little time in their busy lives to highlight Good Service when you come across it and today I want to to give a BIG shout out to the staff at Travis Perkins Colchester (Hawkins Road) for their continuing friendly customer care, help and technical advice which really helps when needed. Today was a prime example, I needed some technical help with a product delivered to site by them - spoke to SEAN in branch who went the 'extra mile' to solve the problem for us, brilliant! A ray of sunshine on a gloomy day goes a long way - We'll always recommend Travis Perkins, it's a name we trust and our 'Go To' supplier. Well Done!

Good value and at the Market Drayton branch, Trevor couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Will definitely go back again.

Totally Unreliable Travis Perkins
I ordered a shed from them on 24th October and their supplier stated yesterday it would be delivered between 12noon and 5pm and they even confirmed that delivery slot today
So I stayed in all day but it never showed up and they didn't respond to my messages

Spoke to a member of their yard staff who gave me some very simple options for purchase of timbers etc. He showed me options and didn't try to oversell anything. I did open an account and wish I had done many years ago when I was in the trade.
Good quality products, even better prices and online ordering is simple and concise.
Staff brilliant and extremely helpful (Torquay branch). My now go to merchant.

I attended ,TRAVIS PERKINS, Helston branch, today and I found the office staff and the yard guys , to be very helpful,
They recommended items etc , and gave useful advice on alternative products and services etc.

Expensive and unhelpful every time.

Now thats what I call customer service!!! From ordering materials from Peterborough store to the delivery it all ran smoothly and delivery driver Aso was so very helpful and professional thankyou to all for such great service.

Went into this branch and Lewis welcomed me straight away and helping me with my requests. Would highly recommend dealing with Lewis!

Dreadful service.
Ordered over £700 of timber a week ago and all i get is lame excuses, and now its 48 hours after the due date.
AVOID THIS SUPPLIER

Travis customer for over 20 years, paid invoices by return
We had a break in onsite and TP hire tools were stolen, we had to replace workers tools, things were tight so we asked TP if we could pay off what we owed them over 6 monthly payments, when they refused we offered to pay over 4 months, they refused again and passed us on to a collection agency who allowed us to pay over 4 months (which we offered TP) with an added fee of 464.88. they said fee would be reviewed by TP when debt was paid, which it was, but TP then insisted fee still had to be paid, we spent a lot of money over the past 20+ years with TP. but it all counted for nothing, to TP you are just a number, even if you do pay as quickly as we did, there is no compassion or empathy.

I purchased Clicklux flooring for my new kitchen from Travis Perkins, Taunton in approx Aug 22.After about 18 moths it started lifting and joints separating. After time it got a LOT worse so I went back to TP. They put through a claim to their supplier = clicklux flooring at the beginning of the year. They wanted to know EVERYTHING. Took,ages going back and forth. In one instance they literally called me a liar. I had to accept a SMALL payout as I needed the floor re done ASAP. Trip
hazard for my 92 yr old Mother. It's cost me £1,500 to replace and clicklux gave me £318,as a good will gesture
BUT wouldn't take responsibility, as it was all my fault !!!!!!!!". I've written to the top bosses of both places and no reply. I've written to Mr Slark,CEO at Travis Perkins, Northampton .First letter = 18/8/26 . Last letter sent 20/ 9 2026. The lack of bothering to get back to me and make no effort whatsoever in helping more OR even looking,at taking their supplier at Clicklux off their books as SOOOOOO MANY complaints made from other customers. I'm upset and disappointed at the lack of communication. Clicklux told me to go back to TP as they supplied it BUT TP don't appear to want to know !!!!!!. I'm small fry !!!!!!. To have been acknowledged by Travis Perkins would have been appreciated .

Beware pricing - always the same with this company you can never trust them to give you the correct price and there’s no published prices. I had a trade credit account for many years and got fed up with their credit system as they could never record payments that I made. Swapped it to Cash account - but with the same trade price prices I was told - made a small purchase and check prices afterwards against my Wickes trade account - was overcharged by at least 53% extra over my Wickes account!

Absolutely useless. Booked and paid for delivery of goods using online service to be rung by delivering branch saying it wasn’t possible. Then they arranged for another branch to sort out their mess and they ring the next day and say the same. Expected better from a company like TP. Asked to escalate to regional management but would not give contact details. Why promote an online booking service that is not fit for purpose. Don’t waste your time.

Having trawled the area for wood for my project I settled on Travis Perkins in Tiverton. Competitive pricing but blown away by the customer service delivered by Simon & Amy. Loads of advice & support that other companies should have but fail at.

After setting up my trade account at TP Dover that only took 2 - 3 mins and a purchasing my first order of garden sleepers, sharp sand and hiring a wacker/compactor plate. This was so simple to do and effortless from ordering to receiving the goods. The guys at the depot were very easy & friendly to talk to and much advice on tap as you needed and the tool hire equipment was very clean. I have said every time I go into TP to order items as compared to Jew**** who have lost me as a Customer & M** who have kids on the front desk having to explain things too. Even the delivery guy is great and asks me where I need my order placed and nothings to much trouble.
