Survey Junkie has many clients on their platform now that allow surveyors to complete 92–100% of the survey and then cut them off, awarding only two points as a consolation AFTER spending the time stated; as one example, the survey that is posted states it is for 20 minutes with a possible earning of 100+ = $1.00 point survey. When ending a survey after it is completed is TIME THEFT and UNETHICAL. The fair approach is to cut the surveyor off within the first 1–2 minutes, not after the survey is completed. Meanwhile they have collected all the my data I spent time entering during that long timeframe. It can be called “bait and switch”.
This is a frequent occurrence—daily. The clients I stay clear of are “Survey Roundup.” They waste three minutes asking questions, including annual salary, date of birth, party affiliation, and state, and then ask who you voted for; which is fine BUT THEN they request your full name, address, etc., and take you straight to the voter registration site at your Secretary of State to check your registration. Of course I end the survey when they request the full request of sensitive info. Creepy.
Yahoo is another client. After I completed 100%, they said their quota was filled and gave me two points on a 150-point survey. Allowing their clients to string people along until the end—after 15–20 minutes—is not only frustrating, but unethical. It is time theft.
They have reneged on their what they have indicated, and they already have all the survey information I’ve provided. This type of shady is rampant on this platform.
*When I have brought this to SJ’s attention; they claim it is their clients that oversee the platform. That is like telling the fox to watch the hens. That comment alone is a reason to end the relationship.
I am stopping use of any survey platforms until 2029, when maybe honesty and ethics will be the standard again. Beware this is happening. I am not giving up my info for nothing. But in the meantime; I have ended my Yahoo account.

After completing $70 worth of reviews and spending months, they failed to redeem my $ and won’t let me verify my account. Waste of time!!!

Took a survey on June 9th was supposed to be paid by June 30th. They told me not until July 9 th and here it is the 15th and I still have not been paid.

Survey junkie does pay when they let you complete a survey. They won't allow you to take surveys under 20 minutes or more when you need one more survey to meet their qualifications for their bonus promotion. Survey junkie is about 50/50 they pay which is honest, they screw around with you which is dishonest.

They actively lie to you. They say they aren't responsible for screenouts, but conveniently right before a payout you start getting screened out of everything or not qualified. Always right before payout. Also it's notorious for allowing these companies to screenouts after you've completed the entire survey. They are frauds.

Don't waste your time unless you like doing surveys and getting disqualified at the end. And like some other sites, after you redeem your reward they will screen you out of every single survey and say you're not a match. Terrible site.

I am very unhappy with this company as they let you completely finish surveys which might take between 10-40 minutes and then tell you the survey is full. I spent 35 minutes of my time to be told the survey was full. If you have 300 opening why do you let more than that number of people enter the survey? The boiler plate answer you get from them is they don't control that. Survey junkie it is time to review your company policies.

Back again. Now I was having problems and I'm pretty sure I deleted both of my two previous accounts because I felt like it was building up.
Third time, they banned me for "creating multiple accounts", even though I would think it is fine that you can create a new account to start back where you left off as long as there are no previous ones active and you use a different email.
If they are really just banning me simply over creating a new account to pick up where I left off, rather than having multiple active at the same time (which I'm certain I didn't), then I have lost all faith in Survey Junkie, because their site can still lead to some good surveys.

Just want to let people know if you use survey junkie, once you get a email from them screen shot it because they will tell you it now always them and will waste your time and not pay what was promised, I had all the screen shots except the email invite I got directly from them, made the mistake and deleted the email and I couldn't prove it came from them, Don't delete your emails from them.

I thought this site was legit, but it is not. Giant SCAM! Spent my valuable time to earn cash, but I'm unable to redeem. I have tried 10 times. Successfully connected to PayPal, redeem fails and my account is locked. The gift cards don't work and there's no way I'm giving these jokers my banking info. Account deleted! Shame on these scammers!

I'm writing a second review to specifically talk about this issue, because I feel as though it is that much of a problem and really needs to be addressed.
Each time this happened to me, I made a note about what happened. I was not rushing though any of them, I was giving legitimate and honest answers, and the surveys themselves seemed to be operating as "normal". But then at what I assumed to be the end of the survey, or maybe after an answer that it didn't like, suddenly I would get a "sorry this survey screened you out" message. I have had screen outs after the following periods of time: 10 min, 4, 5, 4, 8, 4, 17, 5, 9, 8, 11, 23(!!!), 12, and others. Why? There should have been no reason on any of them, really.
This wouldn't be a problem if it happened only very occasionally. But it happens far FAR too often. To the point that it gets extremely frustrating and would cause anybody of sound mind to quit on the spot and never come back. (Honestly I don't know why I still continue).
If it only happened a very few amount of times, I would consider it an anomaly. But the amount of times it does happen can only lead me to deduce that this type of thing is absolutely INTENTIONAL. There's no other rational explanation that this would happen as much as it does. And I don't believe for a second that these surveys "technically cannot use any of the data you provide". BS. If they operated legitimately, they wouldn't forcibly terminate the survey after such lengths of time and offer you nothing at all (or the paltry 3 points).
This absolutely has to stop. SJ might say they are "actively working behind the scenes to hold our partners accountable", but the problem is still running rampant. When I ACTUALLY see this type of thing slowing down or stopping, then maybe I'll believe that.
SJ, FIX THIS ALREADY!!!

Don’t waste your time on this app. This is a scam after getting all your personal information, you will be illuminated at the end of the survey. And majority of the surveys are either fake or old.
Survey Junkie is going downhill and I suspect that all the participants are being programmed for the survey for them to take.

Survey Junkie is holding my hard-earned money for a month because of a technical error on their end. I spent two hours completing a survey that was supposed to take one hour. After completion, they put my rewards on hold until July 15th.
Support explicitly admitted in writing that their system failed to display the "pending review" warning before I started. I never would have taken this survey if the warning had been properly displayed. They acknowledge their mistake but refuse to manually credit my account, forcing me to pay the price for their glitch. This is terrible customer service. Fix your platform and credit my account immediately.
UPDATE: Survey Junkie’s reply below is just a public relations stunt. I already have it in writing from your support team admitting that your platform glitched and hid the "pending review" warning. You acknowledged your system failed me, yet you still refuse to manually override the July 15th hold. Stop trying to take this to a private email chain to hide your predatory practices. Manually credit my account right now for the 2 hours of my life you wasted due to your own technical failure.
