It blocked a payment for no reason, no further information.

I have been a PayPal customer for more than a decade and used them for most online transactions. I had a problem for the first time (UPS said parcel was left in front of my door (without my authority to leave it there) and it was stolen.) PayPal did not show any support and sent out automated messages, saying tracking shows it was delivered/left at the door, which goes against EU consumer laws. So, as soon as there is a problem this company is trouble. I will now delete my account and take my customs elsewhere. I am also considering going to the ombudsman.

PayPal has earned my trust and loyalty over the years. They have helped me several times when I faced problems with online purchases, and once again they have proven how important buyer protection really is.

Most recently, PayPal helped me recover a refund from eDreams after the company refused to refund an unexpected Prime membership charge. PayPal reviewed my case and successfully recovered my money.

What makes me appreciate PayPal even more is that I know many other customers who faced similar situations did not manage to get their money back through other payment methods, including credit cards.

This is exactly why I always feel more confident buying from websites that offer PayPal as a payment option. Knowing that there is a company willing to stand up for customers and protect their interests makes a huge difference.

I am a loyal PayPal customer, and experiences like this are the reason I will continue choosing PayPal whenever possible.

Can you off set my credit against my debit with you ?

I am not happy with the latest app update. I don’t see the feature anymore to convert currency with my bank instead of using PayPal’s overly expensive rate

Always pay via PayPal. Such a strong protection for customers. 2 instances i couldn't solve a dispute with merchants and i contacted PayPal, it was solved in minutes.

Paypal have either hidden or removed the option to transfer funds using the sender’s bank currency rates (which are fair).
This is extremely bad practice!!!!

They charged my account in the wrong currency for no reason costing me ridiculous fees.

Scam to get into your bank account. It will drain more money than you allow and ruin your credit.

I had a dispute with a seller. Not only did PayPal buyer protection not help me (they decided it didn't apply, even though it was a service I paid for = bought), there was no appeal option, and the customer service agent kept being patronising to me telling me to contact the seller. Hello, obviously I did and it failed, that's why I started a dispute! I kept explaining how paying for a service of fast delivery is Buying a service but apparently that's not covered by the buyer protection.
So here it is - buyer protection - protecting the sellers from accountability.

Unfortunately, I've had a PayPal account for years, but a fraudulent site called FileWorld used a dark pattern to subscribe me after I made a one-time sixty-cent purchase. As soon as I realized this, I cancelled the subscription and contacted PayPal to open a dispute. Surprisingly, FileWorld claims they're issuing a refund, but PayPal states that FileWorld rejected my claim. It feels like PayPal is siding with them, and my money is being taken from me unfairly.
Their low Trustpilot rating confirms they don't provide the same service anymore, so it's time to switch to companies that actually protect customer rights.
