The caravan itself was lovely—spacious, clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay overall at Birchington Vale.

However, the amenities could do with some improvement. The bar was only open from 12pm during our stay, despite us receiving vouchers for breakfast. A lot of the facilities also didn’t open until 12pm because the summer holidays had started later in that area. Unfortunately, this information wasn’t clearly displayed at the time of booking, which was disappointing as it would have been useful to know in advance.

Overall, the caravan was lovely, but the limited opening hours and availability of some amenities did affect our experience. There were some fab areas to visit, Quex farm park was a great day out and reasonable priced.

We stayed in the touring park West Bay (as we have done, many times) and as always Andy and Dave were friendly, knowledgeable, and so helpful. They are a credit to this park, and the ‘dog area’ suggested and implemented by Andy is of huge benefit, especially now the, once open, fields adjoining the camp where dogs could run freely, have been fenced off. Thank you once again chaps for making our stay so enjoyable! Oh, one more thing! The ladies working in the cafe/restaurant are also so friendly and obliging - and also a credit to the site!

This review is in reflection of the staff in reception,the most unwelcoming bunch of ladies ever!the manager was so rude to us and would not help us or even give me her name she was happy to leave a 1 year old baby in the red hot heat due to her being stubborn and not wanting to help .
Staff just so rude very sub standard in our opinion would never go back such a shame as 15 years ago it was lovely when we went never again!!!
Book somewhere else!

Stayed at Barmston Beach pet friendly caravan main bedroom stank terrible hated walking on the carpet felt unclean, the waste pipe from the toilet has a hole which someone had gaffer taped and it had come off so when you use the toilet waste water excrement and urine would flow out near the caravan steps.
We are non smokers but the 2nd bedroom which we sent in due to the stench in the main room had been smoked in at some point but at least they left all there cigarettes butt's outside the caravan on the grass a bonus I suppose the lounge table had a cable tie holding it half secure if it snapped whilst hot food or drink on the table which would let the table fold down well excellent that and the toilet set was that lose you could stay seated and nearly swing round 90 degrees.
Pat testing on hair dryer, toaster and kettle was done in 2023 when really they should be done 2 years at the most.
Never again very very disappointed I know they cannot police it and I know its a dog friendly caravan and some people don't respect things but some things can be remedied and repaired.

We had a great relaxing time and my son (3) enjoyed all the activities and entertainment tremendously

I go here 2/3 times a year with my grandkids love it going back on the 31/7/26 for long weekend great swimming pool & entertainment for everyone including Bingo for m

I have been coming here since I was a child and never had the issue with staff or the lack of cleaning carried out. Upon arrival we were greeted by what can be described as something rotten, right away we open the windows turn the heating off and assume its due to the caravan being sat in the sunlight. The bed my youngest child was sleeping on was already covered in blood as was 1 duvet and 3 other pillows. These were collected by staff and upon return we received 1 pillow , 1 duvet and around 6 sheets and pillowcases. Not very many pillows to put in these however, as the weekend moves on I am however struggling with breathing coughing quite some amount, I again assume a change in the air.. however we later discovered this was actually a mould causing such growing within reaching distance of where I had been sleeping. Reception had closed for the evening so I went to out of hours staff to be told “they arent trained chemically, cleaners have gone home and he needs to sit at the lounge. What I should is sleep there tonight and head to reception at 9am” completely no use having staff on site who cannot support an emergency like mould in such a compact environment immediately. Upon speaking with reception the older blonde lady advised “she was only here the day dont shoot the messenger, we can only do something about it while you are here” I asked for a contact number to their head office. When speaking to the customer service department I felt as though the lad was very understanding but again only offered a £75 refund for a £325 caravan with mould growing, vomit in the heaters, blood stained mattress and so on. I was rather short on patience by this point and just wanted off the phone and home. I also advised the lad on the telephone I did have images to support this but he hoped we wouldnt have to use these however I don’t believe £75 covers this sort of health and safety hazard as I was with young children too.

Really terrible. Paid extra for a no pet Silver caravan Thorness Bay Isle of Wight. Was next to owners dilapidated old caravans. No parking. Food and dirty hankies on grass. TV did not work took 2 hrs to rewire. Smelt strongly of sweat. Freezer not cleaned. Pet bowl on veranda. Table filthy. Ants on veranda. Yobbos shouting and running round after dark. Nearby caravan shouting after dark. Women had locked out male. Male shouting if you don't open the door I am going to break the f....kg windows. Had neighbours from hell 4 adults, one screaming kid and a barking dog. Generally clientele rough. Met with young general manager several times. Arrogant, sarcastic, unhelpful could not care less. We left next day. Do not stay here if you have any expectations or standard levels.

Booking was easy, still waiting for a confirmation email with details. This is very poor as we are due there in a little over two weeks

The front page was repeatedly showing the same units as available which turned out to be unavailable on progression to payment page.
Finally we had to settle for an alternative.
Booking in July for next Spring.

Nice place , could do with a bit more amenities / bigger club house and shop sort of thing but it was nice .
When we got to the caravan the fridge had been completely turned off and had been for a while so it took basically the day to get cold again and had a stagnant smell to it

Good prices, plenty of great kids activities and overall a good site.

I love it there , kids had everything they'd want from the shop , squishys , fugglers and so on

Friendly staff. Unfortunately the accommodation was some leagues removed from the conditions that the images on the booking website would have you believe. After booking and accommodation has been allocated, cutomers shoud be sent actual photos to manage expectations.
The summer months meant we were fortunate not to have to deal with the issues the accommodation clearly has with damp during the colder months (cutrains appeared to have mold patches in areas and a dehumidifier was seen at the back of a kitchen cupboard.
An inventory would also be good to have for this same reason.

Overall a decent stay for a short break of no more than 4 nights: entertainment options are okay for U7s. Not so good for children over 8.

We really enjoyed our stay although the toaster tripped all the lights so had to call maintenance who were there within 2 minutes. When J tried to rebook for next time I was given a discount code bug didn't get the discount.

Currently staying on a site at the moment i always give everything a second chance and stay at a lot of other site in Scotland but this current site has had its second chance and it’s worse than the last time I was here . Currently staying in Nairn site and if wasn’t for the beach it would be a 1 star !!! When we first came to the caravan it had a smell , found old food on the forks in the cutlery drawer that hasn’t been cleaned or checked pots and pans with crusty food , under the beds was mars bar wrapper and a straw . Moving to the toilet couldn’t open the shower door without a battle to the point my autistic son got stuck in the shower and freaked out . The toilet brush was broken which is a basic thing to have . The fact other site provide things like dog bags, towels and little bottles to clean with including dish towel it just make a better experience without having to go out and find a shop to buy basics ! Just not go sites to visits !

I would like to share my experience I have had horrible experiences at Trecco Bay Holiday Park I have been to caravan site before but nothing like Trecco Bay, it’s very unclean disgusting holes on the couches sticky floors etc main door lock being broken. I have called numerous times to change it for me unfortunately they’re not listening and ignoring us. It has left me disappointed I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Worst caravan site
