I bought the Matcha Imperial expecting a premium-grade tea (as explained on both the website and by the salesperson), but what I received was extremely disappointing. For €15 (20g), the quality is closer to basic culinary matcha than anything premium. The powder has a yellowish hue, is overly bitter, and lacks any real depth or flavor profile. Far from the vibrant green, smooth, and umami-rich matcha one would expect at this price point. Overall, it feels misleading to market this as “premium.” I left the experience feeling scammed and very dissatisfied.

Palaisdesthes is really the BEST tea company in EUROPE. they have tea that nobody else has and they have it in good quality. Also they have the best service.

The taste of the teas is good. That's why I sometimes order here. But I try to order as less as possible because of the outrageous shipping prices.
I'm a "Théophile Imperial", which is the highest ranking in their loyalty program. But even then, when I order over 150EUR, they charge me 8EUR shipping cost to an adjacent country. That's one hell of a middle finger you point at loyal customers that purchase large amounts of tea in your webshop.

I have been a customer for over 10 years, and even after I moved to the UK I still bought my tea from Palais des Thés because they have variety, great taste and prices are correct.

However, they have stopped delivering to the UK for a few years now. The website still advertises they "ship worldwide", only with a banner saying the UK deliveries will resume as soon as possible "please subscribe to our newsletter". But it has been several years.
I contacted support several times. At first it was because of covid they said, but that excuse is no longer valid. Now they obviously claim brexit is to blame. But all their concurrent, and many French businesses, can deliver to the UK. PdT delivers everywhere in the world, except the UK ... It's just laziness. Not intention whatsoever to make an effort for UK customers.

It's gutting to want to but a product, only to find out the business doesn't value their customers enough to deal with simple paperwork.

No support from customer services, no updates, just excuses. I cannot recommend the business if they won't value their customers. I guess the UK doesn't make them enough money for them to lift a finger.

Very good, site easy to navigate. The teas are fantastic and i love that you can choose some testers to taste at check out. It definitely helps to choose your next order!

Good teas overall. Prices are correct. Home delivery of orders is ok. Nice to be able to taste some teas in shops.

I have been drinking Palais des Thes for 15 years: I have never once been disappointed. The best source of green tea in Europe. I love the Tamaryokoucha you cannot find anything like it anywhere else - not even in Japanese shops! Its lovely to find a place that elevates tea drinking instead of wine/coffee etc
