Waste of money. Don’t waste your time and money on this. Use Claude or chatgpt, you’ll get better results. Subscribed by accident no refund too expensive

Way too many steps to cancel your subscription which feels very scummy.
I have used Grammarly for a long time. I really liked it; it was helpful in many ways — so much so that I even paid for it.
Now it is AI hellscape - it can't do grammar, can't spell - lies constantly - sure it sometimes admits it was wrong when you pressure it - it is just awful and useless
like a lot of other things - it worked great then "let's go AI"
Now it is worthless, useless, helpless - I have just canceled my subscription
Great company. When I had a concern they addressed it right away and made sure I was satisfied as a customer.
Grammarly said my assignment was 98% AI. I hadn't used any AI tools at all and hadn't intended to create an AI score. The assignment was my first draft and was written entirely from my notes. I hadn't even put it through any grammar/spell checkers... nothing at all! It causes significant anxiety for no reason.

Grammarly is suggesting changes that are incorrect. It is underlining words spelled correctly and telling the author to change them to something spelt wrong. This is frustrating and inconvenient.

Grammerly is helpfull but the fact that you correct one thing and it will mess up everything else . it will take away spaces or add commas and it jumbles up everything , instead of correcting everything down the line it will completly rewrite and mess up your whole paper and it just causes you more stress and time to click threw everything to fix all the mistakes the app had made on your paper instead of doing its job and correcting it. This app is good for limited reasons but its so much morw work to have to go back in and fix its mistakes when it should be fixing yours. Im severly unhappy with this and had to remove it completly off everything. And not only that but it just sucks with alwasy having to pay for stupid stuff.

I normally don't leave reviews but this was such a bad experience I went out of my way to leave a review.
The customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. You just email a generic account and multiple different people will respond to the same service ticket and don't read the thread. So it gets confusing.
I needed to simply switch the email on my account to a different one (I provided receipts to confirm it was my account). Then I couldn't switch it because I already had an account on the email I now use. They wouldn't switch the membership to the new email and instead wanted me to delete the account associated with my new email. This should be simple but you have to jump through a bunch of hoops with their new parent company just to do this who doesn't respond to service requests.
The billing is also confusing and it costs $64 per quarter now which is just a rip off. There's equally good competitors who charge much less or are free.
So it's overpriced and if you have a problem you're out of luck on getting it solved.

The customer service team responded quickly and went above and beyond to resolve the issue, exceeding my expectations.
Terrible. It pops up all the time with "pro" suggestions. The suggestions are often incorrect. It's also an ABSOLOUTE PAIN IN THE BUTT to remove from your PC. DON'T BOTHER!

Quite a costy service but worth it.
I tried the 7-day trial period, got accidentally charged after but I was helped within seconds and got the refund. I appreciate fast costumer services.
Grammarly was great. Then they made changes when the AI came. Now is not user friendly. Now is not working for what should work. Any other corrector works better.

It would be a helpful tool if it wasn't confused by simple grammar. I'll write a question, and it'll want to remove the question mark. Not to mention that it constantly jams its UI in front of the tools I'm trying to use. Having previously been a subscriber, I'll now be switching to an alternative because it's mindbendingly frustrating to be gaslit by a Chrome Plugin.

I've been using Grammarly for over 10 years, and I finally decided to get the pro version two years ago. I was enjoying it and loved the new AI features, especially the different rephrasing options. However, the recently added chat feature and the new layout, and excessive prompting which reorganizes all the tools, have made the website overly complicated and slower to use. I'm genuinely considering canceling my subscription.

It's broken, and when I make it edit, it adds a duplicate of the words. Also, there's this new thing where I have to wait 8 days for more generations; it is a very frustrating app. I like how it makes my writing better, but still broken.

As a competent writer, I found Grammarly's suggestions to be more of a hindrance than a help. The constant prompting to try the paid version is very frustrating.

overall, i do really like grammarly. i decided to leave a review because i took on a free trial and thought i had cancelled. i went to talk to grammarly's chat bot, and i typed literally 3 messages and got my money refunded. so much easier than i expected! maybe i shouldn't be praising how easy it is to refund a subscription as that perhaps should be the standard but... there's just so many companies that make it impossible to refund a subscription! so grammarly really takes the cake here with ease!
This company has taken £120. from my account. I have attempted emailing them, but all get chucked back. I have spoken to their AI online, which says they have not taken any money from my account. My bank is now recovering the money. Absolutely terrible company of crooks

I bought my subscription on November 29, 2023. As an Amateur writer, I was really excited to go big time. I don't use it a lot a few times a year, sometimes every other month. At first, it was great. Then it turned into a train wreck. I liken it to going to the ice cream shop and buying a vanilla ice cream cone. You go and sit, then all of a sudden somebody runs out and says, "Here, let me put some sprinkles on that cone." I don't want sprinkles; I just want a vanilla cone. Then they say, "Oh, let me dip it in chocolate." I don't want chocolate; I'm calm, and they go on and on, just like Grammarly. I want what I ordered, not what you want to give. You should have two versions: one icon is Classic Grammarly, and the other says New and improved Grammarly. It helps me understand why people walk in front of a train. Yes, I'll go ahead and renew my subscription this November, but it's not what I originally ordered.
Addendum:
Thank you for your response; it was more than helpful. I guess I should have contacted you before going off the deep end. At my age (and I'm old), I should know better. But to be upfront, you gave clear, thorough directions to resolve my issue, and it still took me forever to find Classic Icon. Old age, it ain't for sissies. I would give it 5 stars, but I can't figure out how to do it. Okay, everyone, getting a fix is just that simple.
