Too costly and filter refills are too costly
the water softener exploded from too much pressure;flooded our house;Rheem would not take responsible; finally Ecowater sent a new unit; was contacted by Amy Reid; she would only email; never took calls; she wanted all the bills for repair;then took all my info with my authorization and sent to Traveler's; got an agent that was so rude
Experienced the water test. Did not get the system. Researched the demo and discovered their misleading and deceptive information. I’ll share with others.
I haven’t gotten the system but Jarvis at the WDM Costco was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. He has the system at his own house and had nothing but great things to say about his whole-body health since switching over. I personally think he deserves a raise for his positive attitude and the wonderful things he says about your company.
They are good in selling. As soon as you buy the system the problems begin.
The technician installed the kitchen system under the sink and damaged the faucet garbage disposal, when I asked to fix it, they argue that I had many things under the sink. I cleaned it, but still they did not fix it.
Also the small faucet for the filtered water is loose, I asked them to secure it properly and said that that is the way it should be, the faucet is moving all around when trying to get water.
The water in the entire house is very slimy, when taking a shower, never feels clean, they argue that it is normal to have slimy water, as the combination of the skin oils and the water, are making the water to be slimy.
I totally regret having the Eco water system installed, customer service is bad, and the last time they send a technician that treated me as an ignorant, even asked me to stop talking, as he already understood my problem.
Finally, the water continues to be very slimy and there is no way it will be fixed. A very disappointed person with the system.
No follow-up contact since installation. The installation was rushed and unprofessional, leaving scratches on my wood flooring when installing the RO unit. Despite promises of post-installation water quality reviews and support, I've received zero communication once the sale was complete. The unit's WiFi feature doesn't work, and I have no idea who to contact for help. You're coasting on Costco's reputation rather than providing actual customer service. I never would have chosen Ecowater if you weren't sold through Costco.
Eco Water should be upfront about their total charges, especially when scheduling a service. What was supposed to be a $100 service checkup for my unit ended up costing $200! What an unpleasant surprise! The office clerk neglected to mention that filters were not included in the service checkup. Very misleading!
I have been trying to get filters for under the sink RO system and for technician to come to my house and check the overall system. We were told several times, ".. someone will contact you".. but no one did.
We don't get any water from the RO tank any longer; it stopped working. I am questioning their existence in business. I don't recommend this company for any services. What good are they if they don't service and don't have replacement filters?
I had replaced my filter few months back and I did not get enough water but didn't have enough time to call to check on this. Now when the technician came he suggested saying I need to replace the middle filter as it has been sometime. They charged me 340 dollars for that change but nothing is fixed still I can get only one cup of water. This is a total rip off as I have spent considerable amount already for installing it initially. Better to have a handy fix a RO system from home Depot or so.
Some of the technicians were good initially but recently whoever we are getting they doesn't seem to be friendly.
Overall not worth the money. Avoid them.
We bought our Eco Water system through Costco over 5 years ago. It was very expensive (over $7,000.) We live in a mountainous region with very high mineral content in a community well. We have been diligent about maintenance. I see very little difference from the far less expensive models we've owned in the past. We still get mineral buildup around faucets and on our dark colored granite. I know we can't get our money back now, but maybe you can save yours.
We had our water softener go out and called EcoWater for help. Brandon responded for Echo and was just outstanding. He explained what was needed, made sure that we understood, and replaced our system. He was very easy to talk to and took his time to make sure everything was fixed before he left. So pleased with everything he did and would recommend EcoWater to anyone needing this system!!
Eco Water does not sell water softeners.
They sell water conditioners.
They are not the same thing.
Do not be conned.
Their products are over priced as well.
Ecowater was the company that handled my warranty claim for a Rheem water softener. Absolutely TERRIBLE service. Lied over and over to me about when I would hear back on it. Eventually decided to send a part instead of supplying the labor to replace it (and replacing it would NOT have been easy or at all reasonable, as it required disassembling and lifting the VERY heavy resin tank).
Can't speak to how they handle their own claims, but they handled this one about as badly as it could be.
We had a water softener and RO system installed about 2 years ago and now have a leak from the RO system under the kitchen sink. Upon calling ECO to seek warranty services I was informed there would be a warranty service charge of approximately $150
Doesn't sound like warranty service at all with that charge. I believe it should be fixed for free as seeing we invested $6000 in this system. I guess that was a Covid installation. Thanks COVID.
ECO PLEASE FIX MY LEAK.....
Purchased water system in FL last year, moved it to MN last week. Entire process was easy, seamless, successful. Estimator Greg was great, installer Mark was fabulous. On time, efficient, friendly, under budget, couldn't have asked for a better experience! Added reverse osmosis this week, service was the same - BEST
