I ordered a shirt at the beginning of July 2026 from Cottonwardrobe. As I had not received it after 3 weeks I sent them an email asking why and they replied that they would look into it. Two weeks later still no shirt and same email saying that they would look into it. By 6th September still no shirt and no refund. This site is clearly a scam do not use it under any circumstances. P Young.

Cotton wardrobe has an excellent range of T-Shirt with Japanese designs to choose from and the web site was easy to use.
I have only just placed my order for 2 x T-Shirts and will review the quality of the products once I receive my order.

You carry a lot of merchandise. Reasonably priced, and your choice of designs is AWESOME.
Only problem I had was the site jumps around a lot. Or, as I scroll down, it picks up a random pic and chooses it for me.
I had trouble with the checkout, that kept flipping back and forth, with info on the discount, and a free shirt...and, as much as I'd like a free shirt, I couldn't justify spending the requested dollar amount.
This is the first time I have ordered from Cottonwardrobe, and I am awaiting my shipment to further review. Also, a date for shipment arrival would be helpful. If one was stated, I didn't see it. Thank you.

This company is incredible. The shirts and clothes are fantastic! When I was accidentally double charged, they refunded the excess. The shirts are machine washable. I use cold water and hang dry them. They come out perfect. The shirts are not 100 percent cotton and that's what is so great. They don't wrinkle or have to go to a dry cleaner. I am on my 4th order. Haven't ordered yet, but this company has been totally up front, I have 12 pieces at this time and everyone loves them! I will look at space cats for my next order. I got everything I wanted so far! I truly love this company's clothing!

Would prefer to see prices in our own currency, but I probably didn’t push enough buttons. Can’t judge quality in a photo so hopefully it will be as described and in the right material. Cotton is not nylon or rayon, please send cotton.

Could have given more measurements to determine size. I'm slim and tall, which proscribed two different sizes. Fingers crossed.

The website is annoying to search, as it gives multiple responses to some searches, such as kimono. The other annoyance is that the size guide is at the bottom of the shirt listing, with no link or even just a note that it's included there. I only found it by accident, after searching the whole website in vain. Sizing information should be easy to find on a clothing website. The third problem is that the site itself is prone to being unavailable on my phone and tablet. This is the main reason I dropped my grade to three stars.

On the other hand, the images themselves are intriguing and the historical/cultural data included in the shirts' description is fascinating. Once I sorted out the sizing, I ordered two shirts for my grandson and one shirt for my husband (my second order). The shirts I ordered three weeks ago have yet to arrive, though promised in two weeks (or less) on the purchase page. I will judge then on how satisfactory the company is.

Do not use this site or any site linked to or similar to Cottonwardrobes site as there are several. They are total FRAUDS! I.placed an order in July. Part order was delivered and the.product was not cotton or linen but synthetic, the.print on the shirt was blurred not at all like the product shown on their site. I chased the remaining item on my order and they thought it had been delivered until I forwarded the notification from them that it would be delivered separately. They asked me to be patient. I sent several other emails without a response and demanding a refund on the item. NO RESPONSE. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS WHO SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH FRAUD.

“Cottonwardrobe.com” drop-shipped, internationally, from Shenzhen China, the much-smaller-than-standard sized items which were absolute garbage quality.

The heavy sales push post-order should probably have immediately clued me in that this outfit is essentially a scam. Prints are blurry (pants even worse than the shirt), fabrics are colored only on the exterior, because you can’t dye plastic, unlike cotton or bamboo fiber.

Quality is best described as canine fecal matter (I’m being polite here - you know the less baroque compound word which applies); Fabric is so thin as to be semi-transparent, stitching is sloppy, prints are on the front ONLY, terminating in jarring edge lines at seams on the pants, misaligned/cut off on the shirt sleeves, and most unforgivable of all the “cottonwardrobe.com” fabric is NOT 95% cotton, 5% synthetic as claimed but so far as I can tell 100% synthetic plastic of one sort or another. Labels notably make no indication of fabric composition, unlike literally ANY other garment I have ever bought. The packages which arrived bear closer kinship to something you might obtain at a Spirit Halloween than ANY garment you have bought anywhere, ever. Did I mention the sizing was like four sizes off? Because when you’re peddling cheap vapor-thin plastic garbage, you also want to chinz on the fabric in terms of QUANTITY, right?

The gestalt result is that this sale is more like a crime than a transaction. If I were in the Japanese government I would seek legal redress for smearing my nation with claims of “Japanese” cotton clothing, as this approaches war crime levels of dishonesty. Would never do again and would never recommend to anyone I did not hate. This was a a new level of shady to me and I am horrified the NY times website is embedding ads for this garbage and enriching them. KEEP AWAY, do NOT buy.

Quick response to email query. Love the designs, but ….
Should have back views of clothing and cleaning instructions. There are no washing instruction tags in the clothing. Tracking info for shipped items should be provided.

I like the shirts presented on the web site.
