Very disappointing stay in Otterup DK
When we arrived, the electricity was switched off with no instructions provided. The owner was unreachable, and it took us around 40 minutes to solve the issue ourselves. The house was freezing cold on arrival and took hours to heat up again.
The upstairs bathroom was completely unusable after flooding during our stay which we had to clean ourselves , leaving 6 people — including a child and a 70+ year-old — sharing one bathroom for the entire stay. This caused major inconvenience and stress, especially during mornings and checkout. Had we known this, we would have booked a smaller and cheaper property.
There was also no heating in the downstairs bedroom, making it very cold.
A plumber was supposed to come Saturday at 10 AM, but never showed up and we received no updates at all.
On top of this, communication was terrible: no replies from Friday to Monday, very slow responses afterward, and no reasonable compensation offered.
Highly not recommended.

I would like to correct my comment about my stay; Campaya has nicely reimbursed me for the "kørsel" charge which was not planed.

Terrible Experience - Uninhabitable Property and Unresponsive Host

We had an absolutely terrible experience with this company managing the property we rented. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property was in no condition to be rented out. The house was filthy, with mold in the shower, hair in the drains, and a general lack of cleanliness that was appalling. The worst part was the infestation of spiders and other insects throughout the property, making it completely uninhabitable.

Despite providing documentation with photos and videos, the host refused to take responsibility. They downplayed the issues, claiming that a few spiders were normal in country houses. However, this was far from a "normal" situation—it was a full-blown infestation.

To make matters worse, the company managing the property refused to offer a full refund, even though we had to leave the property almost immediately after arriving because it was simply too unsafe to stay. AirBnB offered a partial refund as a "courtesy," but the host kept the majority of the payment despite the property being unfit for guests.

I feel compelled to share this experience because I believe other potential renters need to be aware of what they might encounter. If you value your health and safety, avoid renting from this company. I will be sharing all the photos documenting the state of the property elsewhere, as I believe it is important for others to see the reality of what they are renting.

I have tried to contact them through Airbnb after seeing their public comment on Trustpilot stating they were willing to refund 50% of the payment. However, Airbnb has informed me that this is not true. They have refused to issue any kind of refund. This means they are deceiving their customers by making public promises that they do not intend to keep in private. This is a clear case of misleading and dishonest behavior. Be careful when dealing with this company, as they do not honor their commitments.

It was not a succesful and nice experience and much lower than what we expected. Service providing by the office and hotline was very poor. Facilities in the house were very old and broken and not functional:
Washing machine and dryer was not functional and Campaya didn't send a technician although we asked and had urgent need for that.
bread toaster was broken and not functional.
The grill was rusted, small and not suitable for number of people at the house.
Dishwashing machine was small and also not functional as a matter of problem with electricity main fuse and Campaya refused to fix it although we mentioned that.
Oven was very dirty and full of oil and therefore not usable.
Toilets were not clean and full of cavity which we cleaned ourselves.
Beds and mattresses were full of dust like nobody have cleaned them for ages.
The area was super nice and perfectly designed which made us enjoy our time but facilities were much much lower than standards.

I would recommend using Campaya.dk if one should rent house.
