They Don’t Know Their Own Products

Customer services have no understanding of the products they sell. I reached out to buy a new kick stand and asked which one they’d recommend for my Fold. First of all it took over two weeks for a reply, and when they did reply they didn’t have a clue what my bike was, even though it’s a current model. Second they just said basically, they have no idea what stand fits it and I should just go away and figure it out myself. Yeah, that’s great you bunch of idiots.

How can a manufacturer not know about the products they sell.

I got a CUBE Editor hybrid e bike…

I got a CUBE Editor hybrid e bike through the cycle to work scheme. I wanted a nippy bike that I can dash about in but also the opportunity to commute to work once or twice a week. It's responsive, sporty and fast. I am shocked to read all the horrendous reviews! Had I read beforehand, I probably wouldn't have bought mine! It was from the electric bike shop (dash rides) my bike feels quality and I don't feel like it has cheap components like some have described. It looks the part as well! I am glad I didn't read the reviews as I love my cube. I am thinking of getting a cube racing bike as well!

Upon removing the battery, carefully, the battery cover spat out a spring and washer. No idea how to re attach this. For nearly £3k i expected better

Very disappointing experience

I bought a CUBE Stereo Hybrid ONE22 Race 800 Allroad (size S) for NOK 46,500 in the Cube Store in Oslo in May 2026. Since shortly after purchase, the bike has had repeated defects: a faulty front fender that created a safety issue, a dropper seatpost that collapses during riding, and tires showing sidewall thread separation, including a front-tire blowout.

Despite reporting these issues promptly, the store has actively ignore my communications. The front fender replacement promised by Cube was never sent, and I have received no response regarding the defective dropper post.

For a NOK 46,500 bicycle, I expected considerably better quality control and, especially, much better after-sales service and communication.
DO NOT BUY CUBE BIKES!

Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 625

I bought the Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 625 nearly 18 months ago and have used it every day since to commute to and from work in all seasons in UK. I have just completed 3,500 miles and still love this bike !
Would definitely recommend !!

I bought Cube Reaction 600 for 2300 pounds and worked only 50 days (less than 100 miles). 4 weeks passed and still waiting to repair. I seem made mistake of trusting this company.

I have a medium size Large wheel…

I have a medium size Large wheel circuses sport 625 electric bike. I am 5ft 7 and I hate it. Purchased from specialist cycle shop. It’s too high and I feel unsafe so I don’t ride it. Suspension seat piston was removed by the shop to make it lower. Without the the ride is very bumpy and uncomfortable. It is also very sluggish to take off at traffic lights and from start. Die to its weight I feel unstable particularly of roads with a camber when stopping. I’ve done about 100 miles max trying to get used to it but I can’t. Wish I had never purchased as I don’t feel safe riding so don’t go out on it. It’s such a shame as it’s a very smart looking cycle.

After my Author bike was stolen

After my Author bike was stolen, I decided to buy a Cube. I’m disappointed—the components are very poor. The bottom bracket was of very low quality, so I replaced it with a Shimano one. Overall, the bike feels unfinished; when compared to an Author model at the same price point, the Cube just isn't worth it. You end up having to replace some components with better ones right away, even on a brand-new bike. Never again with Cube.

Beautiful bike, serious quality and customer service failures

I purchased a Cube Longtail Hybrid 725 in December 2024 for family transport. In 17 months of ownership I have experienced two significant problems and some of the most frustrating customer service I have encountered.

Issue 1: Cracked frame due to kickstand
Within months of purchase the frame cracked, directly attributable to the kickstand mounting. This followed approximately ten visits to my authorized Cube dealer to have the kickstand issue attended to. The kickstand issue eventually caused a structural failure on a bike I use to carry children. Cube replaced the frame, which I appreciate, but ten dealer visits and a cracked frame on a new premium bike is not acceptable. This problem could have been solved quickly but instead dragged out and caused a cracked frame.

Issue 2: Motor misconfigured from the factory
The bike is sold and marketed as having a Bosch Cargo Line motor — the motor casing says so clearly. However the Bosch eBike Flow app has identified it as a Performance Line CX since the day I bought it, meaning the bike has never functioned as a Cargo Line bike. When I queried this with the dealer at purchase they told me it was correct. It wasn't.
After discovering the error myself through independent research, I contacted Cube. Their support team confirmed in writing that it was a factory misconfiguration. They directed me back to the dealer to submit a correction request. The dealer did so — and was denied by Cube's own system, which asserted the CX configuration was correct. Cube's support and Cube's system gave me directly contradictory information, leaving me with no path forward. I am still riding a Cube Longtail Cargo Bike with a misconfigured motor.

Customer service
The correspondence with Cube has been characterized by long silences, repeated deflections, and no resolution after months of emails. No compensation has been offered. The motor remains misconfigured.

I would like to remain a Cube customer and I hope they resolve this. But I cannot recommend Cube with confidence based on this experience.

The bike is nice, but it comes with a host of problems.

Shit brand!

I have a cube aerium since 2019. When I go back to the dealer and ask for some spare part they say they no longer sell cube ask me to look elsewhere.
I wrote to cube EU with no response.
I now have a cube bike sitting at home not able to ride.
Skip this brand and go for a china brand!

Unrideable except in a dead straight line

The Bike as a hole is fantastic except for one tiny very important detail. You can’t turn the front wheel without it fouling the pedals! The pedals stick out so far to the front that when you turn the wheel the tire hits them - not just your toes but the actual pedal. This renders the Bike completely unrideable and a total waste of time and money.

Not good

Holy cow, I thought of being the only one having issues with my cube katmandu ebike, but looking here I am in good company.
Just bought a katmandu pro 800, here in Switzerland, now investigating a noise from the front suspension or around there.
The overall quality is not up to the price. I will not buy cube again.... At times it feels like a bike bought on AliExpress!!!!
At the end I will probably change the fork myself, They said that it is common in all the Katmandu pro800. This is Bul*ls*it !!!! This is garbage to justify cheap components.....

Bad quality parts & poor factory workmanship

Bad quality parts, and workmanship poor.

I had the Cube Hybrid Pro 800 Mid Motor Bosch ebike for 8 months. The rear casette was loose from factory ended up wearing off the smaller sprockets. Now the chain snapped, and having to replace the whole casette and chain for £100. I should have added spare parts to my cycle to works scheme allowance, clearly its as german as my car breaking down every few months.

Cube bike from Tredz - Stay away!!

I bought a Cube E-bike in May 2025 from Tredz.co.uk through cycle2work scheme. The bike costed £2,449.

In March 2026 (Less than a year and only after 193 miles) I found the chain snapped, got a certified Bosch technician to service it where he found the housing of the lower headset bearing split and the bike is unsafe to use.

I contacted Tredz, first of all they said the chain is not covered (Even with very low mileage!!) then secondly regarding the headset they submitted a claim to Cube, was told usually takes 3-5 days. Now more than two weeks and whenever I try to contact the reply is always we contacted Cube and can’t do any thing else!!

Now after recent purchase of a bike which costs more than 2K and almost not used supposed to be “reputable” brand and “reputable” retailer I ended it having it parked in the garage of no use during the sunny days of the summer. Absolutely not happy with the aftersale service/support getting from Tredz and definitely a big no no to any future purchases from Cube or Tredz.

Faulty bike, rubbish customer service.

As an owner of a Cube Agree C:62 SLX I would avoid buying a cube product, the cube customer service is awful. I have been unable to ride my bike since December due to a fork defect, it’s been in the bike shop since early January and cube still cannot tell me when it will be fixed. I have contacted cube customer services several times about the issue and have been repeatedly fobbed off.

I am now left in a position where I have paid money to enter events but have no bike to train on or ride at the events. Useless

I have purchased a couple of Attain…

I have purchased a couple of Attain bikes from Cube, first one kept getting punctures from the rim side of wheel, managed to fix this myself by using a much thicker rim tape. Second one I bought last year as it had di2 and rim brakes, absolute joke, spokes on the wheels keep breaking, retailer said Cube weren't going to replace wheels under warranty, instead they sent the retailer new spokes to try, worked for a few weeks then same thing has started all over again, I just don't have any faith in the bike. Retailer has advised that there's no point expecting Cube to do anything about this as he has experience of their poor customer service. I have a Trek and a Bianchi and they are solid bikes and I've never had this problem. So Cube I'm finished with you.

Helmet still hasn't arrived -- one month on!

I purchased a helmet for my son over a month ago and am still waiting! The company have not responded to emails, and despite having a UK contact number, divert me to a separate cycling business. I still don't know what's going on, and as such my son can't ride his bike!

Lots of noises

I have a Cube Touring Hybrid Comfort SLX (Chilli). Comfortable, powerful and good looking. But I'm not happy with this bike.
- Metal on metal noises. Rear brake disks; nothing is wrong according my shop cause they can't see anything wrong with it. after 500 km and 850 km I still hear it every time I use the bike! When you don't paddle it stops after 2 seconds and it seems it only does it when you drive on the maximum speed (which you are quickly at)
- I also complained to them that I think the limiter works rough. It is very subtle but it feels like it breaks, then speeds up, breaks etc. I think it might be connected to my first problem. It's not relaxed to bike this way.
- When you don't paddle or the engine doesn't has to kick in you hear a click.
- When you don't paddle it rattles a lot on not perfect road.
- I also sometimes have cracking noises from the pedals.
- I have many video's to proof this.

I'm sometimes embarrassed when I overtake people/bikes by all these noises. This is not what I expected from a German brand with parts from good companies.
