Subscriptions

I accidentally subscribed to Persolabs and cancelled my subscription immediately afterwards. Despite this, I have been charged twice.

I have contacted their customer support team on multiple occasions, simply asking for confirmation that my subscription has been properly cancelled and that I will not be charged again. Unfortunately, my attempts to get a clear answer have been met with silence.

What makes this experience particularly frustrating is not just the unexpected charges, but the complete lack of communication and accountability. Customers should not have to repeatedly chase a company just to make sure their cancellation has been processed correctly.

I am leaving this review in the hope that someone from Persolabs will finally take responsibility, respond to my messages, confirm that my subscription has been cancelled, and address the charges made to my account.

Until this issue is resolved, I strongly advise others to be cautious before subscribing to this service.

Illegal charges - be careful with this company. Do not buy their tests, it is a scam to charge you expensive subscriptions. I paid £1.25 for a test and now, without my consent, or any agreement, they have been attempting to take money from my account.

They have been attempting to charge me £49.95 and £29.95 on my card. This is illegal. I have not signed up for a membership or subscription. When I paid for the test, I had to create an account, so I went back and tried to cancel whatever they tried to sign me up for. They said my subscription was cancelled (I have not signed up for any), but the next day they tried to charge me again. I have left a message to customer service and sent an email to them. No replies.

Do not try to purchase anything from them. They will keep your details and charge money from your account without your consent. I can only imagine how many people are being charged without noticing.

Avoid this website at all costs! They lure you in with a small "one-time" test for around 1,25 euro, but without any clear warning or visible subscription terms during checkout, they silently trap you in a recurring membership.
Before I knew it, they charged me nearly €300 in total without ever sending a single invoice or billing notification. When I contacted support to cancel and request a refund immediately after noticing, they hid behind shady terms. Their customer support send two emails full of paragraphs and legal terms.
But beware, in the emails, they claim their subscription terms are legal, but under EU consumer law, their conditions are completely invalid:
- Waiving your 14-day cooling-off period for hidden recurring charges is incorrect, and illegal.
- Terms placed in tiny text or in an email after payment iso proper contract information violate the EU Directive on Consumer Rights.
- They try to enforce US/UK laws, but EU consumers are strictly protected by their own local laws.
- they are obliged to inform you and send payment confirmation for any subscription, which they don't do.

At the end, they told me to unsubscribe and informed me that the subscription is valid till en of the subscription period. When asked how long de subscription period is, they replied that this information was to be found on the website during checkout. Just to be clear, as soon as you close the site with the test result, you are not able to find any account, subscription or contract information in retrospective.Neither can you find any information under your account once you log in. I have repeatedly asked for this information via email but they just stopped reacting.

This is a misleading subscription trap. Do not fall for their cheap tests!

SCAM - they take money without consent, ignore cancellation requests and do not response to communications. If you sign up, you will have to cancel through your bank. Check other reviews which will confirm the same view.

They charged me a significant amount of money for a subscription I never knowingly agreed to. I initially paid around $3 for one transaction, only to find out that I had apparently signed up for a recurring subscription.

When I contacted them, they insisted that the subscription terms had been clearly communicated from the beginning. They weren't. At least not in a way that made it clear to me that I was agreeing to recurring monthly payments.

I find this business practice extremely misleading. Be careful, don't trust them, and don't buy anything from this company unless you want to risk being charged for a subscription you never intended to sign up for.

This company is an absolute scam. *DO NOT PURCHASE ANY SUBSCRIPTION*

The business model is that they basically make it impossible to cancel the subscription and will keep charging you until you report it to your bank.

Fraud! Based in Nicosia. Beware.
Contact your bank immediately. Block all the transactions as these scammers will keep charging you monthly.

I had to block my card and bank account.
I had a single purchase £0.65 for a test. Then, I found out, that these scammers arranged a subscription for their 2 services: Persolabs and Ai.persolabs. £40 and £30 unsolicited charge every single month. £70 a month after completing one test. You can’t stop your subscription as they don’t come back to you.

After contacting the merchant and requesting to cancel any subscriptions with them as I never subscribed I received no response.
They kept charging me even when I froze my online card activity.
The bank had to request my refund from Visa. Visa will be requesting the refund from them.
There are hundreds of scam and fraud reports to Persolabs and AI.Persolabs across the internet in many languages.
This business has to go to court!

ONE TEST TURNED INTO HUNDREDS OF EUROS IN CHARGES — NEVER AGAIN!

I took one test for fun. What followed was a nightmare of recurring charges for a subscription I never knowingly signed up for: €29.95 to €49.95 on a WEEKLY basis!

Customer service told me the subscription had been cancelled, yet the charges continued. What is the point of confirming a cancellation if money keeps leaving my account?

I am furious. Hundreds of euros gone for something that gave me no meaningful value. The fun disappeared the moment I realised how much I had been charged.

In my experience, this service has been completely untrustworthy. I feel misled, ripped off, and deeply disappointed by how this has been handled.

I want these charges stopped permanently, a proper explanation, and a refund of the recurring payments I did not knowingly agree to.

Based on my experience, I would strongly warn others against giving this company their payment details. One test should never turn into an ongoing financial nightmare.

This is a complete scam. They will continue to charge you 30 dollars a month despite canceling your subscription. I have canceled twice and I’m STILL getting charged. This site will get shut down in a few years, just a complete scam
