Soha could not care less about their residents, particularly those with disabilities and actively go out of there way to discriminate against them.
They do NOT respond adequately to issues raised.
They do NOT care about issues raised and they DO NOT GIVE A DAMN about their residents.
A poor Housing Association poorly run and poorly managed.
Shocking company with management internal issues. The truth will come out in the end. There’s a number of very unpleasant leftists that have infiltrated the company. These people are like the current government where they don’t practice what they preach and behind-the-scenes are up to lots of corruption with property
Soha does not look after disabled tenants! A person in sheltered housing in henley had a leak to her toilet a repair was needed and an operative shut the cistern down ie the flush chamber off to stop any more leaks in the wet room area which the council granted and paid for! And was told the repair will be continued the next day! Nobody contacted or arrived so the next day we contacted soha who said sorry we will do a repair from 4pm to 11.58 as the lady lives on her own and has other proven disabilities!] So far the resident has endured no working lavatory for days and tonight nobody has arrived? When 24hr line contacted they said they had no idea who is responding and they can not contact or know the operative designated to the job? They soon take their rent and leave vulnerable people exposed to unessarcary hardships! Duty of care is nowhere? No wonder many tenants are making complaints to housing Ombudsman about soha!see housing Ombudsman report 2024 also states that sohahousing complaints system needed to work properly!(update ) a repair was done today the 1st of august after this post! Take note that its taken over three days to repair and two days of no show for booked repair! ONLY AFTER MY Post that soha repaired! Thanks to trustpilot reviews we got a working toilet! )soha need to get there act together when vulnerable tenants are requesting repairs! Three days is too long to not have such a facility!

I have never come across such imcompetence! Do not take their advice when extending a lease on your property. Go down the formal route and pay a little more in solicitors fees and the premium. They sneak in a new charge under the headlease which can make your property hard to sell or impact the mortgages you can be offered. When calling to speak to someone, they have no idea what the process entails and there is no one that has the knowledge to help you. I have incurred £1000's in legal fees as they are so slow in responding to emails and the process has taken over 18months. I want nothing more to do with them and will be selling my property as sn as this is over so I can be shot of them!
They are NOT looking out for the interests of their tenants!

This company is beyond useless. Despite claiming to have certain expectations from their tenants they literally do not care what their behaviour does to other non Soha residents of any given development. I would strongly advise anyone to be aware of this prior to committing to buying a property near to any Soha tenants. Despite having certain expectations of their tenants l, which are published on Soha website, they allow their tenants to create nuisances for private residents of my development. Inconsiderate and anti social behaviour seems commonplace to me. Avoid at all costs.
EDIT - Soha response below is simply and empty gesture. I've emailed you on multiple occasions with regards to where and how your tenants park their cars, how they chose not to tax or MOT their cars and how they chose to litter the development with commercial vehicles, your standard response is essentially that you are not interested in ensuring your own tenants behave in a manner which doesn't cause issues for other non Soha residents.
Parking their vehicles in their own private car park rather than up the street 200yds away, in an area where other residents need space to park, would be a start. Soha are utterly useless and don't give a toss
How about you have a word with your tenants of the Queens Court Development in Royal Wootton Bassett. Residents affected may have to take matters into their own hands, should your tenants not start parking their vehicles in their own car park.
EDIT 16/11/2024
It seems like I must have struck a chord as SOHA reported this review to Trust pilot. Who have reviewed it and decided it is PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE.
I will ask again, SOHA, why don't you spend time addressing the issue, instead of contacting trust pilot because of an accurate review of your "service" ?

They lie, backtrack and do not do anything they say they will without constant cajoling. Missed appointments regularly and also treated me with discrimination, then went through their conplaints procedure, which they do themselves. Complete joke because of course they didn’t do anything wrong. If it wasn’t past the six months to prosecute I would be. They are rude to their tenants but when you complain you are told you are being aggressive. Twice now I have been warned but both times I had witnesses who agree I was not rude. They just didn’t like my questions. If I never had to deal with them again it would make me happy. Any contact with them brings stress anxiety etc and even though I am registered as vulnerable because of mental health conditions every time I have been misled or lied too.

I am SO impressed with 2 gentlemen who have been cutting back our hedges today in Chinnor (17.5.24). They have worked tirelessly and done an excellent job. One man is called Mark but I'm not sure of the other man's name. I do hope the work is recognised and rewarded for their hard work.

I don't even know how to start, my house has been subsiding for over a year. I have been complaining and Constantly chasing up issues with Soha being passed to different people all the time. No one takes it seriously. My daughter suffers with asthma and croup. My windows do not lock due to them being out of line. My front door has a massive gap in it again due to being out of line. Cracks everywhere inside and outside the house going through brick work. Boiler constantly breaking down. I had a leak. Two electrical faults half my circuit in my house stopped working due to a faulty wire. And now to top it off the banister this weekend came off the wall whilst my 4 year old was walking down the stairs! She literally held onto it to walk down and it came off the wall. The house subsiding is only getting worse. No one actually tells me what is going to happen to fix this issue. So so many issues and not one member of staff has ever helped. You all say the same thing let me look Into your file and see what we can do. But no one actually addresses the issue or when your going to start work on my house. Why you can't just move me and my daughter into a safe house I don't know. I have reported this issue to social services as no one takes me seriously and again my daughter could have come to serious harm from the banister luckily mummy is always with her ! Disgusted by Soha
My 91 year old Mother has been left with a wet carpet. SOHA can only come up with excuses, “there isn’t a Dehumidifier in the whole of the South of England to be sourced.” 😳. Really?
