In July 2023, SCG acquired MPS Networks Ltd, which followed the acquisition of two other Midlands-based businesses, The Independent Choice (TIC) Ltd in Wolverhampton (in 2022) and EBT Maintenance Ltd in Nottingham (in 2023). These companies are all managed service providers of communications infrastructure and services to businesses throughout the UK, whilst MPS has also diversified into private and software-defined managed wide area networks, IT and cybersecurity solutions. SCG’s objective in the Midlands area is to combine MPS, TIC and EBT, add increased value to customer relationships by way of an enhanced portfolio of products, services and skills and continue to grow organically, and through further acquisitions. SGG in the Midlands will become so much more than the sum of its parts. In January 2025 MPS, TIC and EBT moved into a prestigious new office at Building 4, Quinton Business Park, Birmingham B32 1AF, less than a minute from Junction 3 of the M5 Motorway. A single floor plate of 5,500 square feet has benefited from a bespoke fit-out to meet the business’s current and planned requirements, including state-of-the-art service desk facilities and systems. MPS, TIC and EBT now trade as SCG Midlands, whilst the Company’s respective legal entities, company names, status, company registration and VAT numbers are unchanged, together with our geographical reach throughout the UK.

When I first contacted SGC Midlands
When I first contacted SGC Midlands, I was unsure who I needed to talk to, but I was passed to the Customer Engagement Manager, Sue Gold. From the very beginning, she was extremely friendly, helpful and polite in assisting me - both for providing me with a suggestion and then a resolution to my issue. She is a genuine credit to SGC Midlands and made the whole customer service experience pleasurable. I would definitely recommend SGC to others.
Timely efficient and responsive
Not good enough!
I needed an urgent security related change to our WAN fibre connection. It is important for support services to be responsive and knowledgeable. This was not the case in this instance. It seems this company has grown too quickly and does not have the right personnel for support. Smaller companies that we use are MUCH better with personnel that I know and trust. Anonymous help is not support.

I experienced a lengthy hold up this morning in relation to an app that would not install due to AV filtering. Jack was attentive and responded quickly to the needs of myself and that of a a third party supplier. He played a proactive role whilst we continually needed admin rights for the various changed to happen.
