Called in today to get my car washed
Called in today to get my car washed in the brush wash. Firstly I was a bit taken back by the price. The car wash was €12 followed by €14 and €16
I decided I am here now might as well just get it washed so I bought the €12 wash. I noticed that there was 2 brush washes and 1 self service power wash and nobody else using any of them.Traditionally any time I used these car washes there used always be cars queueing up for the car washes especially on a Sunday. I thought to myself probably got too expensive.
Anyway carried on into the wash more disappointment there was absolutely no suds just clear water. After the wash there was still dirt on the car especially the boot and rear bumper it wasn't too dirty before I washed it just wanted to freshen it up. Overall a bad experience over priced and no detergent .
Decided to move from Applegreen to…
Decided to move from Applegreen to Maxol as it’s closer to where I work but over the last week alone the Oat Coffee machine has been not working and this morning they had zero pastries on display. And this I always at 8-8.30am, surely having coffee working is their number 1 priority.
Back to Applegreen for me, they just do it right in fairness.
Such a pity as the Maxol suits me more but the service of the coffee area is shocking.
Bad Deli Service
I normally visit shop Clarecastle, Ennis which i love. Few times have gotten food in Deli and has been fine and staff were lovely.
Unfortunately this time Sat 4th July at 11:30 am, sadly was not the case. First staff behind counter were more interested in talking than serving the customer. Was like we were not there at all. When finally spoken to the mannerism was not nice and was overcharged for what i got. Sasuage sandwich comprising of two sasuages between two slices of bread for 4.50 which should have been 3.50. This was corrected at till.
Food was lovely. No bother there.
I went to my nearest Maxol station in…
I went to my nearest Maxol station in Irishtown Kilkenny. I filled up with diesel and got a coffee. Proceeded to the checkout to pay and use my Maxol App, to find that this garage wasn’t yet set up.
Great.
Maxol service station Glenabbey
Maxol service station Glenabbey - Glengormley. I like many people, travel to this garage for lunch each day, so i would expect the deli counter staff to get our orders correct. Many times now i have ordered, and got back to my office with someone else's order. This is really bad customer service and its unacceptable to expect the customer to travel back to the garage at their own expense to get what they ordered with only a "sorry" to suffice. Sorry is not fixing the issue, nor enough. If i was offered money off my next purchase then i would have left happier but this is never the case. Only a sorry provided. I will not be back to this station.
Staff needs to focus
3 times now that I have been to the Maxol Navan shop in a rush and the cashier takes their time chit chatting to customers and 3 times I dropped all the items and just left and brought my business somewhere else. I believe the longer a car os parked outside for staff to have a catch up with their friends just takes more potential business from Maxol, and paying for your fuel or simply for a can of 7up shouldn’t really take ages save for when it’s busy or there is a line, which weren’t the case in the past 3 times i have been there. Chop chop love.
JASON AND STAFF
A big thank you to the manager Jason and staff of there petrol station "military road Waterford city " went out of their way to help me when I put Petrol instead of Diesel in my car ,could not do enough for me ,so Thank you so much for all ye help ,won't be going anywhere else in future ,
Maxol Ballymena north road
Maxol service station braid river Ballymena north road.
Very rude young staff work at this shop. No customer service skills. Have been going to this shop daily for years. Well not no more I will spend my hard earned money else where from now on. Life’s too short to go to a shop to receive rude customer service with rude remarks from staff.
Maxol so called customer service
I was given some Maxol fuel vouchers for Northern Ireland, and emailed their so called customer service to see if I could use them in Southern Ireland. It took over six weeks and two more emails before I eventually got any response. They hadn’t even got the decency to sign a name at the bottom of the email. Looking at their other reviews it doesn’t surprise me. What a shit show!! I’ll be spending my money elsewhere in future.

Maxol Station Adamstown staff the worse…
Maxol Station Adamstown staff the worse I have experienced to date. Coffee dock, no lids, one out of order. No shortage of staff yet long queue waiting to be served. Lining up bottles on a shelf seemed more important than customers. Place lacks management
Maxol Ballinteer -stay away
I had a really unfortunate experience in Maxol Ballinteer. My purchase was not what I asked for. When I returned to the shop, I was asked for a receipt. No receipt was given or offered. The staff were rude and extremely unhelpful. I had to wait for 20 minutes, with a child in the car, arguing and getting increasingly frustrated. My appeals for a common sense approach were ignored. A refund was finally made, but not in time for a medical appointment. Enough to say they lost a loyal customer, and I will advise everyone to stay away. Life is too short to waste on that kind of customer service.
Maxol Adamstown : Dodgy Card Terminal
Maxol Adamstown, had a faulty card reader, purchased 55€ of fuel and had to put pin in, each time you pressed once on a keypad number it registered it twice, so impossible to enter pin correctly. Guy serving was rude to the point that it he was making out it was my error, despite trying it multiple times. Asked him to move my transaction to other till/terminal - which was a massive inconvenience for him or at least that was his attitude, worked perfectly so fault was with your machine MAXOL!. pumps were dirty, diesel spill all over pump 6 - bad effort of a clean up, - overall this placed was terrible and staff were useless and rude. Will take my chances and run on fumes before I'd go back there.
ps. if i could leave 1/2 star I would :-)
Poor Deli Operation & Unfriendly, Inexperienced Staff - Maxol Newcastle Road/Adamstown
Seems to be a high turnover of staff at the deli in Maxol Newcastle Road/Adamstown. New staff every other week that seem to be hired for reasons other than having experience. In recent weeks the deli has had issues from undercooked pale chips to the major one being an increasing lack of food options at key times during the day. Most recently a staff member snapped at us WE ONLY HAVE A WRAP OR A SANDWICH! after my companion misheard her due to background noise about there being no chicken fillet role options. Really unpleasant and unnecessarily aggro. Needless to say we left without getting anything, that was the last straw. Considering we were polite and using manners, it was quite shocking to basically have our heads taken off for no reason. If she thought we were going back there to experience that kind of treatment she can think twice. Have also witnessed staff hold up the deli line as they chatted and laughed in a different language. One gentleman was not impressed as he waited for them to return to making his roll. Staff also seem to be unfamiliar with how the app promotions/discounts work which makes you feel bad for even asking about something you are supposed to be entitled to. Management shrug it off unless you stand your ground with them. Overall avoid if you can.
Was in maxol in clonard last week paid…
Was in maxol in clonard last week paid for diesel and never checked the change as I was in a hurry for an appointment in Waterford University hospital
So when I checked the change I was overcharged by €10.54
Phoned up the shop and told them that the pump I used was not the one I filled up from.
Phoned up head office and was told that the area manager or the shop manager will phone me about the mistake
Still waiting for someone to get back to me
Very poor service as this is not the first time this has happened.
I have been ripped off at Maxol Petrol…
I have been ripped off at Maxol Petrol Station. Castleblayney.
The pumb didn't pump any petrol into my car my car petrol gauge still remain the same after the petroll attendant assist in fuel up at the time.
This is a big ripped off. Can you watch where you petrol. And don't let anyone assist you whilst fueling.
Very disappointing
Worst petrol station in Ireland. Very poor quality food at ridiculous prices. You rarely pay the same amount twice for the same food purchased. The staff are not friendly and never helpful. Three years I shopped at Maxol clonakilty every day, but I will no longer do so..
The worst
The worst. On multiple information pages online was mentioned a Kebab in this Petrol Station. I drove 30km at lunch time with 3 Kids to get it and got tge info it's closed a while ago. No update from the Maxol side. Time wasting. W don't eat discustting Irish food on a petrol station anyways
Clonakilty maxol garage
Asked for breakfast roll and got cold rashers . Was then charged for 2 portions because the portion I got was generous. Very poor customer experience
Very surprised that Maxol no longer do…
Very surprised that Maxol no longer do paper fuel vouchers, big mistake in my view. People like paper vouchers not an E mail. They will lose a fortune and my 500 worth of vouchers.
Maxol castledermot
Maxol castledermot, got some diesel and decided it be nice to treat my wife and myself to a magnum icecream...charged 6.60 euro for 2, yes 2 magnum icecreams...I should have left them there, I did say it to the assistant and he agreed but said they had increase dramatically.
So an icecream is 2 and half times dearer than a litre of diesel, wow
