I would definitely give zero if I could. I entered my reg number to check the cars history and it was showing the correct car with the reg number and once I paid for the report it gave me a random different cars entire history. Not only was it unsafe for that person but I paid for absolutely nothing!

I noticed many negative reviews relate to mileage issues, but this is not a MotorCheck error - they rely on the information provided to the INMR database by 3rd parties. The fact that they were able to verify and correct the details so quickly shows great customer service. 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

MotorCheck were extremely prompt in issuing the report on the vehicle that I am selling. It is an excellent service providing detailed information since the manufacture of the vehicle - information that I would not even think of asking if I were buying a vehicle. The information is very reassuirng for me as a seller and for a potential buyer. It is well worth the money.

My car's odometer readings were uploaded incorrectly to their database and they don't appear to have any system to verify readings. I had a prospective buyer who bought their report which had inconcievable readings and clearly put them off the car for suspicious readings. When the buyer asked them about the readings, they suggested that the buyer check them out. As a purchaser of a report, one would think that the onus would be on the supplier of that report to double check the readings. Beware that the report you are paying for cannot be relied upon in regard to those readings.

worth noting history check is not completely valid. issues raised were incorrect.

Incorrect data on mileage provided after paying for a report. When I questioned it, Motorcheck then “fixed” the data which showed major discrepancies. Now being told they cant explain the issues. Fobbed me off as if nothing happened but this has a lasting effect on the seller’s reputation. Not that Motorcheck seems to care!

Quit and easy to use it

The extensive detail contained in the report. It is well worth the money. I would highly recommend using this if your buying a second hand vehicle, especially if an import from the UK. You can see how many owners it had, of the odometer checks out, even down to what the reg was on the UK. If it was a used as a taxi or hackney and so many other details, I could go on and on.

Motorcheck.ie provides an excellent service that is easy and quick to use with almost instant results. It is excellent value for money providing detailed information on the vehicle under multiple headings.
When I enquired for further information on a result item late one evening, I received an email which extensive further information the next day.
The vendor had not disclosed that the vehicle was crashed. Motorcheck provided photos of the crashed car. Needless to say, we did not purchase it.
I would not buy a pre-used car without first checking it on Motorcheck.ie.
