I insured my smartwatch through Tech Pack Insurance (administered by Likewize) and expected reasonable support when I needed to make a claim. Unfortunately, the outcome has been extremely frustrating and unfair.
My watch cost £600. I have paid over £100 in insurance premiums and an excess of £179 for this claim. Yet Likewize has offered a settlement of only £295 — which means that after the excess, I effectively receive only around £122 towards replacing my device.
The explanation for this valuation has not been provided clearly, and the offer does not come close to restoring me to the position I was in before the loss. I trusted this insurance to protect my device, but I feel significantly let down.
I have raised my concerns and requested a reassessment, and if the situation is not resolved fairly, I will escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
I hope this review helps others make an informed decision before relying on this insurance provider.
Absolutely appalling service. I was insured through my bank who had arranged for technician to attend the property to repair my phone. The technician arrived, I handed him the phone over, within a few minutes he knocked and said the motherboard has gone and the the replacement part he had in the car is also damaged! He said the earliest he could get back to me was a week today and suggested I just request for a replacement as I would have lost all the data off my phone anyway. The following day I rang to request and pay for a replacement but was shocked when the call handler said "you refused to allow the technician repair your phone because you wanted to take data off it, so we can't just let you pay for a replacement"
I explained that's certainly not case and I have video footage of the conversation, and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting for around 20 mins I was told no manager is available, so there's nothing he can do right now!
I asked to log a complain which the call handler did efficiently and said somebody will be in touch in the next 5 working days.
I'm still jon the wiser about my phone, no repair and no replacement!

I am absolutely disgusted with how this company operates. I paid £400 for a repair, and now my technician has told me that my warranty claim has been rejected because of a tiny piece of rubber missing on the right side of the fold area. Unbelievable.
Their own terms and conditions only exclude issues caused by “mishandling” or “third-party repairs,” but this doesn’t apply here at all. The small rubber piece failed because the original £400 repair didn’t hold up properly, not because of anything I did. This is clearly a failure in workmanship, and they’re now trying to dodge responsibility.
Refusing to honor a warranty over something so minor is disgraceful, unethical, and in my opinion borderline fraudulent. This goes completely against consumer rights, and I’ll be taking it further.
I’ve asked for the issue to be escalated, but the lack of accountability and basic decency so far is shocking. Do not trust this company – they’ll happily take your money, but when their repair fails, they’ll find any excuse not to stand behind their work.

Due to my sitaution, I had an at home repair service. The engineer called ahead of his arrival. Engineer was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the fault and resolution. Explained the process and time it would take. I also like the regular email and text updates.

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Likewize. They keep rejecting documents for unclear or unreasonable reasons, and every time I resubmit, the process gets delayed even further. It feels like they are intentionally dragging out the process instead of trying to resolve the issue efficiently.
The lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable — I’ve followed all instructions carefully, yet my claim keeps getting “reviewed” over and over with no clear progress. It’s disappointing to see a company handle claims in this way, especially when customers are already dealing with the stress of a damaged or lost device.
I would strongly advise others to be prepared for repeated delays and document rejections if you have to deal with Likewize. Their process needs serious improvement, and their customer support should be more responsive and solution-oriented.

My wife lost her iPhone since the 15th of August and have claimed with likewize and they asked for some documents which she have provided.. but up till date over 2 months now and still nothing from them.
She has emailed there complaints team and they saying it will take up to 8 weeks for them to look into her case.
How is this acceptable?
She has never missed any of her insurance payment, and even while this claim is on they still taking payment for her insurance premium but don’t want to settle her claim for no reason

Do not use this company, they took 2 days longer than their SLA to repair my phone, then sent it to the wrong address and in the process of redirecting it to the correct address have lost my phone. To add insult to injury, a request for a manager to call me back was declined because this isn't a serious enough issue to warrant a call back.
Anyone with a Barclays tech pack should cancel it immediately and Barclays shouldn't be engaged with this cowboy company

Nobeffort made to repair mobile phone. Was tyen told had phone in stock and wouod tak 2-3 working days to exchsnge. Waited for over a week with no updates. Contacted them .initually they said we needed more info but xudnt know what but woukd call me back. They never did so i contacted them at the end of the day to be told my claim hadnt been authorised. But it had. This saga went on for another week. More phone calls and mis information. Tgey tgen said tgey had a phone replacement. At tge end of that day was told the hadnt so offered me a cash settlement but woukd have to waid 3-5 days after they collected my phone on the monday. Strangely this was collected Tuesday. Ive had to by a replacement phone out of my wages as im a joinerand this is a business phone. As still waiting for tge settkement. Awful company

They are completely unwilling to discuss a claim. They cancelled my claim without a valid reason after paying insurance for more than 10 years. This was my only claim in over 10 years and they denied it. Appalling service. Please check your gadget insurers. Don't get scammed by Likewize. Your answer is appalling too. I did not insure my item for a price but for a certain value. It shouldn't matter how much I pay, but what am I willing to accept as its value

The technician who fixed my phone did a wonderful job! I was very impressed by their professionalism and how quickly the repair was completed.
