Recommend for student nurses!!!!
I recently switched agencies, and so far Locumlink has been very helpful and understanding. If it makes any nervous people feel any better, I recently made a mistake (I am still getting used to their app) they have never antagonized me and solved the issue straight away. I absolutely recommend Locumlink to student nurses who are starting off in their career, those who are looking for complete independence with their schedule (you don’t need to rely/ call anyone, but there will be someone looking out for you if you have any questions), and those who seek more experience in personal care. However, the only downside was that the registration had me worried financially and did take a bit of time, but other than that I have no issues with my experience so far. Brilliant!

As an HSE Appointed Tier 1 Agency, we are required to follow the HSE policy when confirming a worker’s years of experience for pay‐grade purposes. This means we can only assign a higher pay grade when the documentation outlined in the policy is provided.
We absolutely value your experience, and we make every effort to assist workers in gathering the correct information. If you are able to supply any additional evidence, we would be more than happy to review it again. A disappointingly cliché agency experience.
I went through the entire onboarding and was told by two separate agents, in person mind you, that all that was outstanding was proof of address/identity and Garda vetting, which I went to their office in Ranelagh about six weeks ago to sign off on.
My vetting came through a fortnight ago. I applied for my first shift last night and was essentially told today that I am not compliant and need to do most of the steps bar vetting again. Needless to say, I will not be doing that a second time and have opted not to work for this company.
I am unsure of what is happening over at Locumlink, the communication between colleagues and teams seems subpar if I am being given totally different messages by various team members.
I would advise anyone who is interested in applying to Locumlink to make quadruple sure their documentation is compliant prior to thinking about taking up any work, lest they be subjected to the same insulting and ridiculous treatment.
For everyone else, look elsewhere.

While basic requirements apply to all agency nurses, additional documentation is mandatory for those wishing to work in specialised areas. These requirements can vary depending on the type of role, the clinical setting, and the specific HSE criteria in place at the time.
This can sometimes mean that a nurse who is fully compliant for general nursing may still need to complete extra steps to be compliant for specialist shifts. We understand this can be frustrating, but these standards are not set by us—they are requirements we must follow to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
We are disappointed to hear that communication felt inconsistent, as we aim to provide clear and timely information at every stage of the compliance process. We will review this internally to improve how we support candidates moving forward.
