The Satellite broadband Service
The Satellite broadband service for our remote holiday property has been excellent. When we did experience technical problems the support desk were first class.

I have been using this service for the last three years.
The satellite signal was always working and realible.
The invoices were correct.
I really didn't have any problems during this time.
I would continue using Freedomsat, but I sold my house in the mountains and the new owner don't require any service.
This is the only reason I cancel my contract.
Thank you Freedomsat and should I require a new satellite connection in the future I would use you!

terrible service by Bentley
I live intermittently on the island of Sifnos.When Bentley took over the internet service I had a contract with, the connection was not always working. I have not had any internet since May. Early August I contacted my local provider.He said it all had to be done on line with Bentley as they had no person on the island to service the line. The instructions I received did not work. So I used the hot spot connection from my phone for internet and decided to cancel my subscription.I was then informed that I needed to give 30 day notice so I would have to pay the September charges. Claire Martin form customer service was very polite BUT she also sent me a record of use of the internet. This is impossible as I had not any any connection through their service. I asked that Bentley forgo the September charge. The answer was no. Bentley did not provide helpful service, is not understanding, and very greedy. I do not think they should be allowed to provide internet service when they have no one local to be of assistance.

We were so grateful to get internet where we live as we are in the slieve bloom mountains and have no phone signal. The only downside for us was the Internet would drop out if it was raining or misty weather. Also strong winds. Customer service was always 5 star.
Took out a viasat internet connection…
Took out a viasat internet connection through bentley communications and they couldn't have been more helpful.
Nearly a year later and still no issues at all.

Overall, a good experience
James - who came to instal the dish and router etc. was excellent in every way, despite turning up at about 8pm having had an awful time on the motorway. Not so great, though she was helpful and courteous, was the lady we dealt with on installation day. Clearly she had difficulty in contacting James as the day wore on, but said she would ring back shortly and never did! But overall the Bentley experience was a good one, and so far it has all worked very well.
Service and subscription…
Since we have been with Bentley the service we have received has always been excellent. Just a telephone call away and any issues have been resolved promptly. The team are friendly and accommodating.

Real people with understanding and prompt action when required. I have received excellent service from this company.
Unstable and later no internet anymore.
We had internet starting the contract in March. Suddenly after 2 months our Internet got unstable until it stopped completely. The service department was very helpful, but they/ we couldn't find what the problem exactly was. Service in Greece, a technician coming to our house, would cost +/- €1000. Outrageous. The technician was probably going to come with a private helicopter. So we stopped our contract with Bentley.

As I've been asked to write this review so soon after its installation, my review is more a reflection of the installation process. A reader should also note that the company I contracted with for the service (Bentley Telecom) seem to be a subcontracter of Freedomsat who in turn get a subcontractor to fit the kit. Having said this I was disappointed that:
The subcontractor failed to turn up to fit the equipment on the first date I was given by Bentley Telecom. This was due to a Bentley error.
When the engineer came to fit the equipment he told me it would not fit where I wanted it to go. Then, when it was too late, he agreed he had been wrong.
It's to soon to say how reliable the actual service is.
