Warning about drivio: unreliable delivery and charges before handover
Based on my experience, I can only strongly warn against taking out a car subscription with drivio if you depend on reliable mobility.
In my case, the vehicle handover was initially cancelled on the planned delivery day because the license plates were supposedly missing. Later, I was repeatedly told in writing that the vehicle would still be delivered that same day. I relied on that information.
However, the vehicle was never handed over to me.
What I find particularly problematic: drivio had previously confirmed to me in writing that the subscription would only start once I had taken over the vehicle, and that no subscription costs would be charged before then. Nevertheless, the first subscription fee was charged to my credit card on that same day.
On top of that, I received an automated message stating that the vehicle had been handed over, even though no handover had actually taken place.
To me, this is not a minor communication issue. It is a serious breach of trust in the core process of a car subscription: no vehicle received, contradictory statements, and still a charge to my credit card.
I have since disputed the payment with my credit card provider and am requesting a full reversal of the booking.
My clear recommendation: Before entering into any agreement with drivio, check very carefully whether delivery dates, process communication, and the start of charges can really be relied upon. After this experience, I personally would not take out another car subscription with drivio.
