Great back pack for what I need

Love my new Aerolite cabin bag & matching under seat bag. Ideal for travelling with Ryan Air!

Brilliant design! Only just received the under-seat backpack, so haven't used it yet. However, it's robust and very well made, with size and all the features shown on website - strong zips and lots of internal storage organisation compartment & pockets. The security compartment at the back is really well concealed. Ordering was easy, delivery speedy and on time.

Great looking case I purchased two and they appear to be good quality however I have still to use them. The one thing I would point out is that they are marginally bigger than the 200mm thickness that is stated on their site and that is empty so it will probably increase a bit more when packed. Was disappointed about the size issue as the dimensions was my main reason for purchasing these.

1. Aerolite Premium 32-inch / 144-litre Suitcase

The 144-litre, 32-inch Aerolite suitcase is certainly spacious and offers plenty of room, depending on what you need to pack. However, in my personal opinion, the overall build quality is disappointing.

The suitcase feels extremely flimsy and I have serious doubts about how well it would withstand the handling associated with a long-haul journey involving multiple flights and airport transfers.

I paid £64, reduced from £76, but personally I do not believe it represents good value for money. The shell feels poorly designed for the demands of long-haul travel, and realistically I would feel the need to purchase a protective suitcase cover before checking it into an aircraft hold.

My concern is that, after one major long-haul journey, particularly involving two or more connecting flights, the suitcase could suffer significant cosmetic damage or potentially require replacement.

2. Aerolite 104-litre Suitcase

The 104-litre Aerolite suitcase is, in my opinion, the better of the two. Although you are naturally more limited in terms of packing capacity, the overall design feels considerably better.

It has a more modern appearance, the shell design looks more versatile, and it gives a better impression of being suitable for regular travel. If you do not require the enormous capacity of the 144-litre version, this would probably be my preferred option.

Overall Verdict

There are definitely better quality suitcases available on the market, although you will generally have to spend more money.

In my experience, luggage is one of those products where spending a little more initially could save money in the long term. A more robust and durable suitcase should survive considerably more long-haul flights and the inevitable rough handling that comes with international airport baggage systems.

Aerolite may be suitable for occasional travellers or those looking for a budget-friendly option. However, for regular long-haul travel, particularly journeys involving connecting flights, I would personally recommend investing in a stronger and more durable suitcase.

My advice: pay a little more, buy better quality, and hopefully get several years and multiple long-haul journeys out of your luggage rather than potentially replacing it after only a few trips.

Couldn’t tell you how good my ordered item is, as I’m still waiting for my express (1-2)days delivery. The courier Yodel absolutely useless. Placed order 5 days ago. Tracking shows item has been at local depot for the last 36 hours. Very disappointed, I now have to buy anew case locally so i can go on my trip later this morning.

Our second case of this size but this one came with an issue. Externally and upon unzipping the 'lid' all was good as expected, however unzipping the internal lining covering the bottom (handle area) I found the supporting brace which is on three sides was loose and unattached on one side - the side that does not have the handle riveted to it. As the case is required in a few days I could not return it so had to improvise and secure the loose bracing/support myself. Looks like it should be glued, probably has been but never checked. Disappointing

I received an unsuitable item and contacted customer service. They agreed on a return and to let them know when the item was on its way back to them. The item was returned but not until after it's on its way back was I told they'll be taking £8 off me for the return! That's more than half of what the item cost.
