Bait and Switch for their outlet product
Ordered a headphone to pick up in Lyngby. I ordered a "new with original packaging" and I got one with dust all over it and marks of all kinds (some of them was removed by the staff) and there was no manual and some of the original packaging was missing.
The sales lady was the worst I have ever met - she was sighing the whole time when I asked her remove marks and dust and in the end I decided to get my money back.
She called her boss out and he said this is with original packaging which is totally untrue - there are so many unboxing videos out there. The box was in a bad shape and the cardboard inside that was used to protect the headphone was missing. The cables were stuff into the case like someone did it in a hurry.
He said I could move my order to pick up in another store - how do I know what I'm getting there? I drove 30 minutes from my home to that store and the other store is another 10 minutes from that store - so I should drive 40 minutes each way just to chance something that it is supposed to be right?
Anyway, I chatted with elgiganten and they offered ZERO help. They said I can only complain at the store physically and I have to chance my luck to get one that matches the description - what is this? Even eBay has better protection than that!
I was asking the customer service if they can waive shipping cost for getting another headphone since I went to the shop once already and they said no. Instead they said you can buy it new for 999 - I know that but I want to save some money to buy an outlet product that lives up with the description.
Update: Now the lyngby store puts out the same headphones as like new with original packaging. I wonder if it's the same used one bought and returned in store.
Gentofte store confirmed that they have one that matches the description and let's see when I go to pick it up.
This should never have happened in the first place.
