RIP off change fees after booking mistake
I booked a holiday and booked the wring week by mistake. I should have booked the week before. I realised and contacted Loveholidays within an hour. They came back to me the next day with an amendment fee of £2422 for a holiday that cost £4000!! I challenged this and they told be the flight change was £20 but the hotel charge was £2402. However when I check the hotel T&C’s it was 100% refund for cancellations before the 19th June. I went back and challenged them again and they reduced the fee to £211. I then challenged again as they had told me the flight change cost was £20 and the love holiday fee was £25, therefore I should have only paid £45. They would not budge and still made me pay £211!! Ridiculous.

Having reviewed your booking, we can see that when you requested a date change, the amendments team provided a quotation based on the additional flight costs, the difference in hotel pricing for the new dates, and the applicable amendment fee.
While the flight change itself was minimal, the hotel pricing for the revised dates was higher, which contributed to the overall amendment cost quoted at the time.
