NO FREE CHARGER PROVIDED
Bought a new EV3 on the proviso that this came with a free charger and free installation. When signing the forms I was told I would need to switch to Energia and that they would provide us with our free charger and installation. After 2 months of essentially fighting for this the costs of public charging were simply too much and we had to bite the bullet and just go with another EV charger company who could supply and install a charger for our property. We went with NMD Electrical who were very professional unlike Circet, the company Energia use. As it turns out we had a lucky escape by leaving Energia and going back to our original supplier Electric Ireland as Energia actually have a lot of hidden fees in their billing. Read the fine print! Although the staff in Kia Liffey Valley were polite and supportive, Kia Ireland were EXTREMELY unhelpful and communication was very poor! All in all we did not receive what we were promised when we bought our new car and no effort was made by Kia to enumerate us for this. If you do not own a private wall that you can have your charger attached to and instead require a pedestal Energia will not provide you with the free charger etc. Kia do not warn you about any of this at the time of purchase which is false advertising. I will be reporting this to consumer affairs.
