Review of Fiat

Truly the worst company ever

Truly the worst company ever. We purchased a brand new Fiat Ducato in 2023. It lasted two years until the engine failed and had to be replaced under warranty.
After the engine was replaced it lasted two months before the cam belt tensioner failed resulting in a six month wait with the vehicle off the road while Fiat got the part. So in one year the vehicle was off the road for eight months. I asked if Fiat would do the decent thing and extend the warranty for the equivalent period that we had been off the road. Their answer “no”. What an utter disgrace, no loyalty to their customers. Avoid this company at all costs

There are a lot of brands of lithium…

There are a lot of brands of lithium battery out there and some are less expensive than Roamer, but I want a company that I can call and who will deal with any issues should they arise, Roamer give me that and a fantastic battery too.

Immediate does not mean immediate

I have two policies with this company. Both were taken out shortly after the manufacturers warranty expired. The vehicle on the second policy suffered a failure to the engine cooling fan four days after the policy was taken out. The vehicle was properly maintained as per the service schedule and had only just been MOT’d. Despite being accepted on to “immediate cover” it would appear that I immediate does not mean immediate where this company are concerned. Firstly they rejected the claim stating the part was not included in items covered and then when I pointed out it was covered under the schedule they then decided that it was a pre existing problem despite it not showing up previously in the engine management system. They were clearly determined to wriggle out of it by any means. I will now be cancelling both policies.

Further to your reply. How do you are anyone else know that it was a pre existing fault? It was an electrical fault with the cooling fan motor and that could occur at anytime without warning. It had not shown up in the recent service or at MOT. And as for your significant discount, you offered to pay for the diagnostic check and nothing more so hardly significant. So you can twist the facts as much as you like but the facts are the facts and purchasers of your warranties should be aware of your dodgy tactics.

Dear Mr Mukherji,

You have paid small initial instalments towards 12 months of cover, and then claimed for a faulty component where the issue was clearly developing prior to coming into cover (4 days earlier).

Our terms are clear that we do not cover pre-existing problems, as to do so would push prices up for all our members.

A senior manager contacted you before you left your review to offer a significantly discounted repair and you were extremely rude in response.

Motoreasy is run for the benefit of all its fair and honest members.

Our staff are trained to work hard to help our members but we will not tolerate unreasonable abuse from callers.

We will process your plan’s cancellation immediately.

Regards,

Matthew.

Speedy Delivery, Fiddly Lens Change

Ordered Sunday, arrived Tuesday, comfortable and light and polarization works well. Lens change a bit fiddly with no instructions.
That's more a case of feedback then a complaint. Would recommend at the price and would buy again.
