I have been dealing with the SafetyWing claims process for months, and it has been an absolute nightmare of bad-faith stalling tactics.Because my emergency happened on the first day of my policy, SafetyWing has flagged me as a fraud suspect and is refusing to pay out. I provided an official, legal medical report from a licensed hospital that states the exact time of the incident and treatment. SafetyWing claims this official hospital document is "not sufficient."Instead, they are demanding that I—a solo traveler—provide a "corporate incident report" or "official witness statements." I was having a medical emergency, not a car accident. Strangers on the street do not write corporate incident reports for personal medical emergencies.When I asked SafetyWing why an official hospital record is not sufficient proof, they completely avoided the question and copy-pasted a generic script. Every single time I send a requested document, they invent a new requirement to keep the claim in limbo.Warning to digital nomads: If you get hurt on day one, SafetyWing will invent impossible bureaucratic barriers to keep your money. I am filing a formal complaint with your underwriter, WorldTrips, for unfair claims settlement practices. Do not buy this insurance
