Had my asda credit card for a year before I thought someone had got hold of my card details, asda quickly replaced the card, that was in February and I haven't been able to use the card since, I have been trying to sort it out for the last 2 months, kept being told someone would be in touch, reply time ranged from 3 minutes to 3 days, I have closed my account and gone with a different provider, asda money credit card is greatly let down by their customer service, I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Easy to use but I booked insurance via a link that promised Asda reward points upon purchase of a policy. Reward points have not been awarded.

Did not receive my ten pound cash pot at the time of booking travel insurance.

False advertisement. A pop up came up on the Asda rewards app that said £10 into cash pot if you got travel insurance, so I followed the pop up and ordered travel insurance however, I was told this offer no longer exists so I feel like I got miss sold.

I picked up some holiday spending money from Asda at Weston-super-Mare for my grandchildren. The lovely lady called Nel was so polite, helpful and knowledgeable. She kindly divided the Indonesian Rupees into three wallets, one for each of them, which made everything so much easier for me as I have arthritis in my hands. I was really impressed with her excellent customer service and just wanted to say thank you very much

Simple app and the best credit limit offered out of all other companies.

So far so good. Compared to others a reasonable price for annual travel cover with existing medical conditions covered.

You were the most expensive car insurance I have ever seen shape up or ship out of the insurance game as not competitive at all £200 dearer.

Easy process to select the right cover and to know the price. Once product selected the purchase process was fast and secure

I always use Asda travel money due to the price match etc but after a visit to the store in Burnley today I will not use again out of principle.
My two young grandsons are off on holiday, I wanted to give them some euros to take with them spend, I had euros left from my previous holiday (purchased from Asda)
I had a 20 euro note and asked if it could be changed into two 10 euro notes so they could each have a 10 euro note for their holiday.
Asda: ‘Sorry I can’t do that, I can only change same denominations ie a 20 for a 20’ (what’s the point in that?)
Me : I’m sorry, just to be clear - you can’t change a 20 euro note for two 10 euros? Asda ‘No sorry I’m not allowed it’s Asda policy’
Ah ok - off to Tesco who had no problem changing it and was quite bemused at my Asda experience.

I had a very poor experience using the Asda money card, the card was refused at multiple places in Spain and when I contacted the card services team they were little help, I ended up using my normal account and had to pay charges, when I returned I made a complaint, and was told that it may take 5 days to reply. I received my first email 1 hour after my call stating they had received my complaint and we're sorry. Then literally an hour after that they sent another one and said the matter was resolved, but I had no outcome to my complaint. So now it's with the Ombudsman.

Very disappointing exchange rate at Asda Travel Money Chorley

I exchanged currency at the Asda Travel Money bureau at Asda Chorley, Bolton Street, PR7 3DL, on 18 July 2026 at 09:19.

I exchanged £360.69 and received €400.00. My receipt shows an exchange rate of 1 GBP = €1.105 and no commission or additional fees.

However, before/after the transaction, the Asda Travel Money online calculator showed an Asda Rewards rate of 1 GBP = €1.1503, which would have resulted in approximately €414.90 for £360.69. This is a difference of approximately €14.90.

I only noticed the significant difference after returning home and checking the transaction online. I am also a disabled customer, and I am concerned that I may have been treated unfairly or that my vulnerability was taken advantage of.

I have contacted Asda Travel Money/Travelex and am currently waiting for their response. I hope they will investigate why such a different exchange rate was applied and provide a clear explanation.

My advice is to carefully check the exchange rate and the amount you receive before leaving the bureau.

The transaction was quick and efficient, and the assistant was informative and polite, and answered all my questions clearly.
