This is an opportunity to celebrate the richness of Arabic storytelling and content, showcase the ideas and talent emerging from Saudi Arabia and across the region. It also brings a strong focus on the impact of creativity, from great ideas to marketing effectiveness and the business results they deliver. Having been in the Middle East for over 15 years, this is a particularly exciting moment for me. Tahaluf is announcing it today, so watch this space. You’re going to want to be the first to know. 📌Eoghan O Searcoid ha compartido esto🤝 Major Announcement Tonight, at 8pm, #Tahaluf will announce another global icon for Saudi Arabia. And this event brand is HUGE. Back in 2022, Faisal Al-khamissi, Muteb Alqani, Annabelle Mander and I helped bring #BlackHat to the Kingdom. At the time, one of our ambitions was simple: bring the world’s greatest event brands to Saudi Arabia and then prove that the Kingdom could make epic editions of those brands. Around 5 years later, Tahaluf has attracted 8 of the world's most important event brands to the Kingdom. Black Hat MEA has grown into one of the largest cybersecurity gatherings on earth. Money20/20 Middle East launched here and became one of the largest fintech gatherings in the world. (Led by Steve Durning and Kinga Swiderska ) SuperReturn: the global meeting place for private capital chose Saudi Arabia. BIO Middle East - part of the world’s largest and most comprehensive biotechnology gathering, is coming to the Kingdom. CPHI Middle East launched in Riyadh as the largest debut pharmaceutical event in history. (Led by Mohaned Abdullah ElMahgoub and Mundhir Al-Hakim (منذر الحكيم) ) GDC Festival of Gaming has partnered with us to create Kingdom of Gaming. Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M., perhaps the most iconic name in global superyachting, has chosen Saudi Arabia for its first international expansion through the Red Sea Yacht Show (led by Mohaned Abdullah ElMahgoub) And Cityscape Global moved its international home to Riyadh, and became the world’s largest real estate event. (Rachel Sturgess and Annie Jeffcoat) There is a pattern here. These brands could go almost anywhere in the world. But they chose Saudi Arabia. And they choose #Tahaluf because we have demonstrated that we can be trusted with extraordinary global brands, respect what made them famous, and then build something record-breaking around them in a completely new market. First pioneered by Annabelle Mander and Mike Champion, Tahaluf rolled out the 5th edition of this world-class event – a truly amazing platform that continues to impress. Behind the scenes, multiple teams endured huge challenges to make this happen. But they did it. That interview question around delivering results under pressure – Tahalufers got an answer for that! LEAP. And what a success it was. It is not every day that a marketer can say "1 in 3 clicks on our ads this week resulted in a registration". Yes, that happened. Proud to be part of the amazing team that contributed to this success. Eoghan O Searcoid ha publicado estoI’m incredibly grateful to share that I’ve been recently promoted to Senior Digital Marketing Manager at Tahaluf. While I’ve been leading the Paid Media function across our events since joining, having my work formally recognized with this new role is a proud moment. This past year has been one of pushing boundaries. In Tahaluf, and globally across Informa, we have pioneered the rollout of MMM — to set a gold standard in marketing attribution and media planning in events, and ultimately to increase ROI. Success in this space is never a solo effort. A huge thank you to Richard McKeon and Mike Champion for your trust and recognition. It means a lot. And to Alaa Khushaim, Brian Kealy, Sara Eldemerdash, and Klime Mickovski: thank you for the constant support and collaboration so that together we can keep raising the bar. We’ve built a solid foundation, but the best is definitely yet to come.

CEER’s new EXOBOT sedan and SUV are being built in Saudi Arabia, with the top-spec version pushing 1,111 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. The sedan does 0–100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, while the SUV takes 2.4 seconds 🤯

As the company grew, we moved into temporary offices at The Garage | الكــراج, Diplomatic Quarter and then ROSHN Front. They served us well enough but we rapidly outgrew each of them. Now, we are preparing to move into our new home at stc square. Almost 5,000 square metres, our new headquarters will provide over 330 permanent workstations, with the capacity to accommodate more than 400 people as Tahaluf continues to grow. It includes: • 12 flexible offices • Five meeting rooms • A dedicated boardroom and executive pre function space • A 70 seat auditorium for learning, training and morning yoga • A dedicated tech bar • Collaboration rooms, lounges and hot desking areas • Private focus booths • A large dining space and social hub • Multiple coffee bars • Wellness, first aid and mothers’ rooms • Prayer and ablution facilities • Premium washrooms, showers and changing rooms • Cutting edge stackable parking • A recording studio • And an exceptional workplace layout designed around how our teams actually work The design is unmistakably contemporary and Saudi: It brings together natural light, biophilic design, local artistic influences and the highest standards of modern workplace design. It is a major milestone in the Tahaluf story. From a handful of people to more than 350. From a hotel reception to a headquarters in the heart of #Riyadh. Our creative theme and subsequent brand toolkit for LEAP 5 is the heartbeat of what we do, binding every element into one powerful narrative. Over five years, LEAP has grown larger, stronger, and more influential. Each edition marks another step upward, showing a clear trajectory of progress. For every attendee, the journey is personal. They come to learn, advance careers, grow businesses, and push ambitions higher, driven by the determination to… ASCEND. "ASCEND" as an adjective, naturally translated into a dynamic design system using Glass and Light. Visually, it manifests through upward motion, movement, and progression, a versatile creative mechanic that can live across all formats. Whether that is in sub branding, social comms, digital adverts, onsite signage, stand and stage design. Walking around the hall floors today and seeing it in situ and action, I am proud of what we have achieved. We'll keep taking that creative leap... (ahem, couldn't resist the pun, sorry!) I joined fellow researchers and academics for lectures on methods and theories of policy analysis. We also interviewed policy makers at the university, presented our findings and produced a joint set of recommendations. From the moment I landed, the organization was outstanding. The team greeted me by name before I could even reach for my business card—my badge was ready, transfers were seamless, and every detail was personalized, from the airport to the hotel and throughout the event. The networking was equally impressive. The event brought together industry leaders from across the Middle East, with strong representation from Latin America, North America, Asia, Europe, and Africa—a truly global #fintech community under one roof. What stood out most was the operational excellence behind the scenes: the coordination for speakers and attendees, the seamless transportation between the hotels and venue, and the attention given to every touchpoint. It was clear that an enormous amount of thought and effort went into creating a genuinely world-class experience. Without question, this was one of the best conferences I have been part of in a long time. Congratulations to the entire team behind it at Tahaluf A special congratulations to Ahmed Alenazi and the entire barq family on their significant fundraising achievement—a powerful endorsement of their vision and the trust placed in them by international investors. This is Part One—a brief reflection on the overall experience. In my next post, I will share more about my participation in the event, including the panels, discussions, and key insights into where fintech is heading.
