I was helped by Miriam and she was very patient and professional. I wanted a slightly larger car than I had originally rented, and she helped us very well with that. The car was fine. The employees who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport were friendly and professional. Everything was arranged perfectly. We will be back next time!

DRIVALIA SPAIN works with a Car rental broker called ORBIT CAR HIRE.
I rented ( payed) to have a car in Spain (Alicante) with ORBIT car hire. I was told that according to Spanish rules, I had to pay for a full cover, which I did.
When got in Spain, I went to DRIVALIA and was asked to pay for a full cover or leave a deposit of 1200£ ( on an already payed full cover car?????)
I did not have a credit card and ended up having to pay AGAIN a full cover insurance. They never wanted to see the email proving that I already payed a full cover and there answer was: you rented through a low cost company, you will need to speak with them!!

They work together or not???? Customer always paying for this “ obscure arrangements”between companies.

El trato dado por Daniel de la oficina de Mallorca fue genial, nos explicó todo y nos lo puso todo más fácil.

I returned the rental car in Valencia exactly according to Drivalia's instructions: I parked it at the designated location and handed over the key to a person designated by Drivalia. The car was undamaged at that time, which I can prove with photos and videos taken immediately upon return.
Subsequently, I received a damage claim of €517 for two instances of paint damage that were allegedly discovered 5.5 hours after the car had been returned. During that entire period, the car was under Drivalia's responsibility, not mine.
Despite emailing my photos and video evidence, Drivalia kept asking for proof, while my substantive questions went unanswered. It was as if they had not really read my emails. After submitting an official complaint, I was even told that there were suddenly four damages instead of two and was again asked to provide evidence. Furthermore, my email was not addressed in any substantive way.
Moreover, Drivalia states that a renter remains responsible for the vehicle until an employee has inspected it. In my case, that would mean well over 5.5 hours after the end of the rental period. This is not stated in the terms and conditions, nor was it ever explained to me when I picked up the car. Because you no longer have control over the car after returning it, I would never have agreed to such a condition.
Therefore, I asked by email where in the terms and conditions this is stated, or on what contractual or legal basis a renter can be held liable for damage that is only identified after the car has been properly returned. I also asked why the car was not inspected until 5.5 hours after its return.
Because the number of reported damages keeps changing and my questions remain unanswered, with no further responses to my emails, I have serious concerns about the way damage claims are handled and suspect that this may not be an isolated incident. I am surprised that insurers are not taking action on this.
If Drivalia fails to provide a substantive response, I will submit this case to the European Consumer Centre.
My advice: stay away from Drivalia.

We had a problem with our name on the credit card vs the name on the booking and Miriam at Alicante airport gave us an amazing service. Gave clear explanation and did everything she could to help and with success, so thank you again Miriam

Annika & Raul in the Alicante office provided us with outstanding service - they were super polite, transparent and even gave us their recommendations for the area. The office was clean and the process for renting the car was completed very fast. Definitely recommend to rent through Drivalia and hope you have the pleasure of being assisted by Annika or Raul!

Llevamos un año alquilando con Drivalia y todos los empleados del Prat nos an ofrecido el trato más ágil y profesional comparado con otras compañías pero especialmente Cristian, no solo organiza rápidamente los cambios pero también me atiende fuera de horas de su jornada.

Gleich bei Ankunft bei der Autovermietung Drivalia wurde klar, worauf man es dort anlegt. Ich hatte nur die ersten Seiten des Vertrages ausgedruckt mit den wesentlichen Mietdetails.Sofort wurde auf das klein Gedruckte verwiesen, was auf Seite 9 stehen sollte:
Es ging alleine und ausschließlich um die Kaution in Höhe von 1.200€, die ausschließlich mit einer Kreditkarte bereitgestellt werden sollte.
Ich verfügte über das übliche Karten-Limit bei Kreditkarten von 1.000€.
Auch wurde ich sofort abgewimmelt, als ich mit mehreren Kreditkarten oder mit einer Debitkarte oder sogar bar bezahlen wollte.
Das ganze Gespräch wurde darauf angelegt, dass ich nur eine einzige Chance hätte, das Auto anzumieten, nämlich die spontan angebotene Versicherung für völlig überzogene 99,95€ abzuschließen.
Dann würde man auf die Kaution vollständig verzichten.
Bei Check24 war eine vollumfängliche Versicherung bereits im Vertrag inkludiert.

Haftpflicht: Personen-/Sachschäden unbegrenzt / unbegrenzt
Vollkasko- und Diebstahlschutz
ohne Selbstbeteiligung (durch Rückerstattung)
Zusatzschutz
Glas / Reifen / Unterboden / Abschlepp- und Bearbeitungskosten
Die mir von Drivalia aufgedrängte „Versicherung“ durfte ich dann allerdings mit der Debitkarte bezahlen!
Da ich bereits bei CHECK24 vollumfänglich versichert war, war das eine klare Erpressung ohne Gegenleistung unter Ausnutzung meiner Situation, in der weit vom Flughafen entfernt gelegenen Autovermietung fest zu sitzen und keinen Termin mehr erreichen zu können.

Rückgabe am 22.05.2026 um 09:45 Uhr
Mir wurde trotz Nachfrage keinerlei Quittung oder Bestätigung der Rückgabe des voll getankten Wagens ohne Schäden gegeben.

23.6.2026 Abbuchung von 40€

Aber nicht genug damit, einen ganzen Monat. später wird plötzlich meine Kreditkarte, mit der ich diese Versicherung bezahlt hatte erneut mit 40 € belastet. Ohne Rechnung oder irgend einen Hinweis im Betreff. Ich erhielt weder separate Post noch auf der Einzugsquittung war zu erkennen, wofür das nun sein sollte.

Ich habe eine Rücklastschrift beantragt.

Coche reservado no estaba, en cambio otro sucio, faltaba pression en las ruedas. Atencion desagradable. Gastos en suplemento, les da igual mis reclamaciones, respueta es esto o nada. Nunca mas alquilo en Drivalia. Espero que a devolver el coche no habra otros problemas. Si podia poner zero estrellas lo aria
