Abstract
Provided herein are, inter alia, are terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) peptides. These TdT peptides are capable of synthesizing oligonucleotides using nucleoside triphosphate or 3'-O-blocked nucleoside triphosphates with high fidelity and efficiency. Also provided herein are, inter alia, compositions, kits, and methods of using the TdT peptides provided herein including embodiments thereof. The compositions, kits, and methods provided herein are a novel and efficient alternative for the synthesis of oligonucleotides in various biotechnological applications.
