Definitions

  • the invention relates to medical equipment, namely to medical devices for intramuscular or subcutaneous administration of liquid one-component injection preparations, in particular to devices that allow the introduction of pre-filled drugs, and can be used, inter alia, for self-injections, both in standard use, and and in those cases that require the urgent use of injections (combat, field and extreme conditions, natural disasters, accidents, etc.), as well as people belonging, according to certain criteria, to a risk group, namely:
  • Syringe pens can be divided into reusable and disposable (pre-filled).
  • Reusable syringes-pens allow you to inject the drug without taking it out of the container every time with a syringe.
  • reusable pens have significant drawbacks. For example, the high cost, as well as the complexity when repairs are needed.
  • the needle must be changed before each injection, which must be removed after the injection, and not all cartridges fit together.
  • Pre-filled disposable syringes make it easier to administer medication, which is convenient for many patients. Patients often prefer this injection method over reusable pen and conventional syringes because of the convenience and ease of use, which allows the drug to be administered without difficulty when needed.
  • the advantage of a disposable syringe pen is that it eliminates the need to insert a new cartridge into the syringe handle, as it is necessary to do in reusable syringes, which simplifies the method of drug administration (there is no need for additional preliminary manipulations associated with installing the cartridge into the pen - syringe, which takes time) and makes the injection procedure more comfortable for the patient.
