Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé (100) et une installation de production de monoéthylène glycol (110). Dans une étape de carbonylation (21), du monoxyde de carbone (102) est mis à réagir avec du nitrite de méthyle (104) pour former de l'oxalate de diméthyle (105) et du monoxyde d'azote (106). Ensuite, dans une étape d'estérification (22), le monoxyde d'azote (106) est mis à réagir avec de l'oxygène (103) et du méthanol (108) pour la conversion en nitrite de méthyle (104). Dans une étape d'hydrogénation (23), l'oxalate de diméthyle (105) est mis à réagir avec de l'hydrogène (109) pour former le monoéthylène glycol (110). Le monoxyde de carbone (102) et de l'oxygène (107) sont formés, dans des flux de matières séparés, à partir de dioxyde de carbone (101) dans une étape d'électrolyse de dioxyde de carbone (10), le monoxyde de carbone (102) qui est formé étant introduit dans l'étape de carbonylation (21). De l'oxygène (103), séparé du monoxyde de carbone (102), est introduit dans l'étape d'estérification (22).
