Definitions

  • the present invention relates to implements for holding and supporting small objects, and more particularly to finger mounted tweezer devices.
  • the invention also relates to a method of attaching individual hair extensions to individual hairs of the eye lashes.
  • Tweezers also known as pincers, are mainly used for tasks such as plucking hair from the face or eyebrows, often using the term eyebrow tweezers.
  • Other common uses for tweezers are as a tool to manipulate small objects, including for example small, particularly surface-mount, electronic parts, and small mechanical parts for models and precision mechanisms.
  • Stamp collectors use tweezers (stamp tongs) to handle postage stamps which, while large enough to pick up by hand, could be damaged by handling; the jaws of stamp tongs are smooth.
  • Tweezers are also used in kitchens for food presentation to remove bones from fillets of fish in a process known as pin boning.
  • Conventional tweezers make use of two levers, or tongs, or prongs, connected at one fixed end (the fulcrum point of each lever), with the pincers at the others.
  • Finger mounted tweezers are known from, for example, patent document US 3,293,958. Problems with currently existing solutions according to US 3,293,958 is that the finger mounted tweezer is difficult and expensive to manufacture and that it is difficult to use the tweezer since the fingertip is covered by the hood of the tweezer and that the tweezer is difficult to clean in an efficient way. Further problems which the present invention aims to solve will be elucidated below in the detailed description of the various embodiments .
  • An object of the present invention is to provide novel and improved implements for holding, supporting or manipulating small objects in a manner that has been up until now practiced by means of tweezers, the implements being arranged to be mounted on the ends of the fingers of the user so as to serve as finger extensions designed to function as an improved tweezer.
  • the invention relates to a finger mounted tweezer where the tweezer comprises a ring shaped body portion where a tong is arranged to the ring shaped body portion.
