- the present invention further relates to a method for obtaining a bag or bag type package such as the above.
- Bagpipes or raffia sacs have been known for many decades and are widely used for the packing of various products, particularly solid powder and / or bulk materials such as soil, fertilizers, grains, sugar, coffee, flour , feed, PVC compounds, cement, among many others.
- Raffia packages consist of several flat strips, a width of a few millimeters, manufactured by means of an extrusion process of a polymer such as polypropylene or polyethylene or other fibers or mixtures of fibers. These raffia tapes are oriented, drawn and rolled into tubes to be woven, resulting in a polymeric fabric. More resistant and inviolable, raffia guarantees an effective protection against moisture, its surface and the action of rodents, important characteristics for food storage.
- Raffia sacs are available in traditional sewn versions or in more modern versions, where the closure is made by adhesive or welding. And put- It is possible to choose and combine several characteristics for raffia sacs such as aperture type, size, type of lamination, etc.
- a polymer substrate preferably polypropylene
- the polymeric substrate is applied to the outer portion of the bag, being pressed on both sides, the front and back sides of the bag.
- the lamination in which, in addition to the normal lamination, a polymer film is produced which is placed on the lamination.
- the lamination is done with an extruder that melts the polymer and applies over the raffia fabric.
- the polymer film is placed on the lamination, in particular in cases where an extra barrier is required.
- the lamination itself functions as an adhesive for the polymer film, since the polymeric substrate is applied hot.

- the construction of the package 1 of the present invention by the use of a closure cap 5 welded to the body 2 allows one to obtain the advantage of the final "palletizable" shape of the package (generally substantially rectangular, and suitable for stacking, trans pallets or not) without the need for glue, thus allowing for easy storage and transport and easier and more efficient recycling of the packaging.
- the body 2 as well as the first and second surfaces 3 ', 4' are formed in a tubular polymeric fabric, the so-called raffia, which receives at least one coating layer 13 of metal composition.
- the raffia body 2 receives a polymeric substrate 10 laminated on the body 2, a film 11 consisting of at least one first adhesion layer 12 of which is applied to the polymer substrate 10. at least one coating layer 13 of metal composition and at least one second layer of polymer composition 14, so that the polymeric substrate 10 is held molten when applied onto the body 2, providing the adhesion of the film 11 on the polymeric substrate 10.

- the coating layer 13 is formed of an aluminum film so that the application of the first and second adhesion layers 12, 14 makes it possible to weld the metal film coating layer 13 on the polymeric substrate 10.
- the process for applying a polymeric film to a polymeric substrate 10 is such that a warm air is blown at about 600 ⁇ ° C onto the already laminated package 1, in order to soften the substrate 10.
- a pressure is then applied by means of rollers which weld between the softened polymeric substrate 10 and the polymeric film.
- the composition of the substrate 10 and the film are identical, they have the same softening point, it being possible to carry out the welding.
- the softening point is not identical to that of the polymer substrate 10, so that the metal film does not adhere to the substrate 10.
- the metal film coating layer 13 is applied between the first and second adhesion layers 12, 14 of polymeric film, by welding the coating layer 13 on the polymeric substrate 10.
- a rolling process can be devised in which metallic particles are added to the polymeric substrate 10, and it is not necessary to apply a metallic film to the coating, since the polymeric substrate 10 would already be metallized .
- the film 11 is known in the market, mainly used in food packaging, such as coffee, snack foods and the like. However, there is no commercially available film 11 in a raffia-type package 1.
- packages found in the prior art do not exhibit the necessary strength and mechanical strength of raffia sachet packaging.
- the raffia fabric has a complex braided construction, which confers the necessary strength to the package 1.
